The live-action/CGI Alvin and the Chipmunks film franchise is an adaptation of Ross Bagdasarian's Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise. Ross Bagdasarian's son, Ross Bagdasarian Jr., and his wife, Janice Karman, worked on the films. There were four films in the franchise: 2007's Alvin and the Chipmunks (directed Von Tim Hill), 2009's Squeakquel (directed Von Betty Thomas), 2011's Chipwrecked (directed Von Mike Mitchell) and 2015's The Road Chip (directed Von Walt Becker).
