The loud explosion echoed through the forest, and made Emma and Cam turn around in surprise. Their eyes fell on the flames in the distance, and they exchanged a look of horror.
"Isn't the plane over there?" Cam asked, looking worried. Emma nodded in response and stared at the flames. Cam began to run off towards the but Emma stopped him.
"Look, I know Du want to check if they're okay, I do to, but we need to defeat these monsters first, oder they'll just follow us and they could hurt everyone else when we reach them." Emma pointed out.
"Good point." Cam sighed, as he stabbed Mehr of the dichtung minions. Emma joined in, but their attention was wandering. Were their Friends okay?
Meanwhile.....
As the explosion sent pieces of the plane into the air, the group dived for cover, and Madi covered Kiva, protecting her from the blast. After a while, they all stood up shakily and stared at the plane, a distinct ringing noise sounding in their ears.
"Where's Ashley?" Kowalski asked, scanning the plane remains. Kait pointed to a black and white figure which seemed to be wedged under a large piece of metal near the waterfall.
"Oh gosh.." Kiva remarked. The group began to run over to their friend, but stopped abruptly as a pinguin stood in front of him, an evil smile spread across his face.
"Derek...it was you, wasn't it?" Madi realised, glaring at the penguin.
"What do Du think?" Derek replied, twirling a gun in his flippers. "Now, if any of Du come any closer, the little Scottish boy gets it." He threatened, pointing his spare gun at Ashley, who was barely conscious. He groaned in pain and tried to Bewegen out from under the wreckage. "Don't even think about it." Derek warned him, stepping one foot on oben, nach oben of the metal and pushing it down on Ashley. "You come with me oder everyone here dies." He said, pointing at Madi. Madi looked around at the group, gently put Kiva on the ground and began walking slowly towards Derek.
"Madi, Du can't just let him take you." Sylvia protested.
"If I don't, you're all gonna die." Madi argued, taking a step closer. As she got nearer to the evil tyrant a loud gunshot sounded and Derek yelped in pain and fell to the ground, holding his foot. Behind him, Emma and Cam climbed out of the bushes, Emma holding a gun in her flippers.
"What happened to shooting him in the chest?" Cam asked her.
"I'm not a good shot." Emma admitted, using her free flipper to put her messer in her drawstring bag.
"What are Du two doing here?" Kowalski asked.
"We killed most of the dichtung things, and we saw the explosion, so we came to see if everything was okay." Emma explained. She glared down at Derek, who was removing the bullet from his foot.
"This won't be the last you'll see of me." Derek told the group, before throwing a smoke bomb on the ground and disappearing. As the smoke cleared Emma looked around the group.
"Where's Ash?" She asked, suddenly feeling worried. Blake pointed to the plane wreckage and Emma gasped in surprise, running over to her friend immediately. She pushed the plane wreckage off of him, and knelt down beside him. "Ash, are Du okay?" She asked, shaking him gently. Ashley's eyes fell on Emma and he smiled weakly.
"Hey lass, I.. didn't know Du were here..."He replied, coughing up a bit of blood. "I- I got the first aid kit." He said, holding it up in his shaking flippers and smiling. Emma managed a smile and took it from him gently. The others walked over and Dylan's eyes widened.
"He's got quite a bit of metal in his back." He said, pointing at Ashley's back. Emma nodded slightly, and using the first aid kit, she began slowly taking the pieces of metal out of Ashley's back. He winced in pain and blinked a few times. He wasn't 100% sure of what was going on, the world was blurry through his eyes, and he felt so tired. But he knew sleeping wasn't a good idea. As Emma took the last piece of metal out she turned to Kowalski.
"Kowalski, can Du check if he has any broken bones?" She asked quietly. Kowalski nodded, put Kait down on the soft gras, grass and knelt down Weiter to the young penguin.
"Where do Du think Derek is now?" Blake asked Madi.
"Honestly I don't know." She replied.
"I just hope we don't see him again." Emma remarked.
"K- Kiva and Kait need the first aid kit too." Ashley piped up, shivering a little. Madi nodded, and picked up the first aid kit and began tending to Kiva and Kait's wounds.
"Hey, did Du two kill the leader monster thing too?" Sylvia asked Emma and Cam, looking curious.
"No, we couldn't find him, oder his lieutenant." Cam answered.
"We've gotta find them, oder they'll just continue collecting the blood they need until they rule the world." Emma said, opening her bag. "I think it's better if we just destroy this." She added, taking the blood sample out and staring into it. Suddenly, a dark shape swung down from a tree, grabbed the sample and ran off.
"Hey, get back here!" Blake shouted, running after the shape, Sylvia, Dylan, and Cam closely behind him. Madi got up and looked at the others.
"Are Du guys gonna be alright?" She asked. Emma nodded and Madi ran off after the others.

"Eurika! It's done!" kowalski burst out the lab with a small box in hand. Attached to the box was a long string with a helm on the end.
"skipper?" e called.
Silence.
"skipper, rico, private where are Du guys?"
Mehr silence.
Kowalski ran to Marlene's place.
"Marlene have Du seen skipper?" kowalski panted as he chocked out his words.
"yeah, I saw them being carried off Von some big animals." she answered.
"and amber?"
"I last saw her with that new guy. I dot know what happened to her-"
Kowalski left before she could finish the sentance.
Kowalski searched the entire park, the whole city, and just about all of manhattan.
Nothing.
He searched via radio waves, radar, Nd a lot of other things.
Still nothing.
He worried for hours.
Until he realized exactly what happened, and who done it.
