Hi guys! I may not been Schreiben so much but I always stalk here. After 3x15 I decided to write something because lately I’m seeing so much hate towards to writers. Some people saying that they’re about to quit the Zeigen because “We don’t get Delena.” Aren’t we? I honestly think that the way that we ‘get’ Damon and Elena’s relationship could not be better. Kudos to writers. I adore and respect them with my herz and soul.
Here is why;
Every single of us knows that how “epic” Damon and Elena’s build up is. I’m personally glad that they’re not handed over, like SE. Would Du rather to have Delena as a high school pair who kisses in the Sekunde episode? No, they’re much Mehr than that.
I’m not saying Elena has never loved Stefan. And I don’t think there’s anyone who actually believes that, since the Zeigen is about a ‘love triangle’
But, here is the deal. I don’t see the Zeigen with the point of view that people see. The Zeigen is not about “Two brothers fighting for one girl.” It’s so deeper than that.
Basicly, The Vampire Diaries is about 3 people who loves and cares deeply about one to another. In a every combination of those 3 people. And this Zeigen is all about the “war” between different kind of ‘LOVES’
Brotherly love, which I adore to see. I just Liebe the relationship between Salvatore brothers. It shows us that Du don’t have to say people that Du Liebe them for Wird angezeigt how much Du care.
The amazing bond between this two is making even hardcore Stefan oder Damon haters’ hearts melt. The way they’re being written is taking my breath away, no matter how much they’re trying to stay away from each other they always end up saving eachother’s life. Don’t Du remember 3x08 when Elena says to Damon that “I'm not mad at Du for letting him out, Damon. I think you're going to be the one to save him from himself. It won't be because he loves me. It will be because he loves you...” This line is simply explains everything. Their Liebe for each other will never change. It’s a stable truth. Also maybe because of being best Friends in real life Ian and Paul got this dynamic. They nailed it.
But there’s a fact that no matter how much they Liebe each other, both brothers loves one girl and both of them wants to be with her. Like for, eternity.
So in this situation we have to go and look for what Elena feels about it. Fact again, She loves Stefan. BUT, there’s a difference between ‘loving someone’ and ‘being in love’. In present, she’s falling in Liebe with Damon which is kind of scary for her and who can blame her? She’s just 18. That kind of deep and strong feeling towards that kind of charming man scares her. Because with Stefan, everything was easy. He was sweet, she was truly happy for being around him, looking into his eyes, feeling safe. Stefan was some kind of ‘home’ for her. Familiar. And please do not forget that no matter how much she looks like she over it, Elena is still a teenager girl who Lost her parents too young. After that kind of depression, Stefan appeared. Filled the emptiness of her needs after her parents. Feeling loved, safe, normal. And that’s why they become ‘lovers’.
In the other hand, their relationship is not that strong. Because it’s all about them for being lovey-dovey. Her relationship with Damon is Mehr complicated, yet Mehr realistic. Stefan and Elena’s Liebe has no future because they were nothing but lovers.
When it comes to Damon and Elena it has a long progress that they become everything to each others. Haters, Friends and finally… lovers.
They simply did everything to stay away from each other, especially Elena, cause even back then she was able to sense the temptation between them. But it wasn’t like the way she loves Stefan, she couldn’t own the control because when you’re in Liebe there’s no chance for Du to control this, yet, it controls you.

“Drawn together and not pulling away.”
With this intensity, meanwhile they were waiting on the edge trying not the fall in Liebe they were also going through A LOT.
Elena was the first one that who can see through him. Behind his villain mask she saw the Damon that –lost. The Damon that who is trying to find something worth to fight for. The Damon that she’s simply falling in Liebe and doesn’t able to stop it.
A relationship like between Stefan and Elena could never been able to get over the things that Damon and Elena did.
He turned his brothers’ girlfriend into a vampire just because of boredom and caused her death, he killed her brother once, take the chance of her whether she wants to be a vampire oder not, he provoked Katherine impulsively that caused her own aunt stabbing herself.
But…
Where it’s all ended?
“I’m sorry, I’ve done so many things to hurt you.”
“It’s ok, that I forgive you.”
She forgives him, no matter what he does. She can’t help it. She can’t stop it. All this little confused girl is doing trying to fight against to Liebe and sometimes, when she’s tired of running she’s doing something like that. Taking a breath and obey that what ‘love’ wants her to do.
So, here is the difference of those kind of loves and because of that our Zeigen is not about;
Damon versus Stefan.
It’s about,
Loving someone versus Being in love.
And we both can see that who is the winner. When Du fall for someone Liebe precedes everything. No matter how scared Du are, no matter how much you’re trying to deny one Tag Du stop and realize he’s all Du want and need even it consumes you.
Because of that there’s no other option for Elena to choose except Damon. Because once in her life, this little girl is IN Liebe –with the man that could die for her without a single blink.
BUT; here is a huge possible breaking point here. The first kind of Liebe that I stated;
Brotherly love.
When Stefan sacrificed 10 years on his life to
save his elder-brother and become ripper I was thinking about it, a lot. Because through the 2 seasons, Damon was the one who is the ‘Hero’, a hidden hero. Like how a ‘REAL’ hero does. He was the one that sacrifice himself and his Liebe towards Elena just for both 2 people that he cares about being happy.
He suddenly became the most selfless character on the TV history Von saying “because what I’m about the say is probably the most selfish thing that I’ve ever sagte in my life.”
After all, he was the one that giving up on everything, being Sekunde choice because of his brother.
And with that, it was the perfect situation that when Elena stops running away from Liebe without any guilt she could spend her eternity with him.
But it was all before Stefan sacrificing himself. I’ve been thinking about how Damon and Elena figure out the Liebe between them when Stefan’s away for saving Damon. It wouldn’t be fair. It wouldn’t be ‘Damon&Elena’. We both know that they’re stronger than that. But even when he was Küssen her he sagte “If I’m going to feel regret about something I’m gioing to feel regret about this.” This is the Damon that has every right to get his girl but still holding himself for his baby brother.
After all, in 3x15 Stefan is back to being bunny-lover, teenagerish, depressed Stefan. Yet, just for his brother to have his chance back Damon is trying-to-be back to old Damon, that covered his own self with villain mask even though he’s missing the act that even without knowing him Elena did not buy it. There’s no chance for her to do now. Anyway, it’s the rest of the storyline, all I want to say is Damon became the man that sacrifices his own self for his brothers’ own good once again. Coin toss thing showed us who is the real hero, the hidden one.
History repeating itself once again as, “I don't mind being the bad guy. I'll make all the life and death decisions , while your busy worrying about collateral damage. I'll even let her hate me for it. But at the end of the Tag I'll be the one to keep her alive.”
Remember the times he does not care about gaining her hate if it means he’ll keep her alive. Now, it’s also added that he does not allow her to hate his brother but himself.
Hidden hero.
Everytime.
Can Du imagine the ‘pay-back’ of all of those things that he’d done?
So here is the winner of ‘Brotherly Love’. Don’t Du see that guys? All writes are doing is making the ‘guilt’ disappear for Damon and Elena being together.
After he sacrificed everything including his relationship with Elena, after he gave the chance to his brother to get her even he does not deserves it, when Elena realize that the kind of Liebe that she feel for Stefan is not able to satisfy her as she’s not able to run away from “love” there will be no guilt for Damon and Elena’s relationship.
Not a slightest one.
And THIS will be the biggest pay-off for both Damon and Elena who both suffered so much because of LOVE.
This is where storyline is taking us.
After this epic journey there’s only one
destination, and it’s called;
Damon and Elena.
