Does anyone have Guter Rat for an inspiring writer who suffers from a short term memory?

I would suggest make sure Du always have a note pad with Du for ideas. Once started on a story map out the story first then once Du have written a bit print it out oder at least note in your note pad what Du have put. so Du can refer to it when ever Du need. hope this makes sense.

I suffer from the same problem. Usually before I start a story, I map out the story's details, maybe make profiles of the characters just as a reference for when I start writing. Du could always add to the Liste when something big comes up in your story. ^^

i also get distracted easily but I always remind myself of what happiness it will bring to others when they read my stories! so i keep on writing!

Whenever I have too many distractions to acutally write a story, I just write short stories. Du could plot out a character, oder a few, and feature them with many different subplots, that way it's still one idea [the character(s)], but Du don't have to always remember the details oder plot of the story because Du have small ones.

i have similar issues like stated before i recommend Du carry a legal pad around everywhere keep one in your car,by your bed,and with your stuff like a bag if Du carry one to write down the ideas as soon as Du get them. For at the computer i recommend Du give Dragon software a try just say what your thinking and it will write it for Du and if Du like that method Du could try carrying a tape recorder and several extra tapes around with Du to speak what your current inspiration is and then Du can revert back to them later.
I use the legal pad very often i went threw 3 last semester and 5 in the summer.
Something Du can try when Du don't have anything around (like if your at the pool) try committing it to memory threw making a little movie in your head that Du rerun often oder something like that also Du could try telling someone your idea and ask them to remember it
