"Respect", the Otis Redding written classic tune was shot to number one in April 1967 with what would not only become Aretha's Franklin's "signature" song but it also became a dual Anthem for both the Civil Rights Movement and the Feminist Movement.

Hello, Aretha Fans,

There is a new book coming out soon entitled "Songbirds, Greatest Female Singers of Our Time." Guess where The Queen resides on the list? I am the author. I will let Du know when it is released.

Here is an excerpt:

Aretha Louise Franklin was born on March 25, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee. Captivating listeners with her powerful vocals, Aretha was referred to as the “Queen of Soul.” She has sold Mehr than 75 million records, including Favoriten “Respect” and “I Say a Little Prayer.”
sagte fellow singer Mary J. Blige, “Aretha is a gift from God. When it comes to expressing yourself through song, there is no one who can touch her. She is the reason why women want to sing. Aretha has everything – the power, the technique. She is honest with everything she says.”
