Girl anime have many Otaku boy fans. There are many boys in anime shops. The boys in the anime shops are mostly looking into the girl anime area. There are a lot of girl anime fans too, so I think it is equal.

I almost picked females, but then I realized that it's mostly the fandoms that I'M in that has more female fans. But there are a lot of guys who are anime geeks as well. That's why there's "ecchi/harem" and shonen/seinen in general -- they're aimed at males, and lots of them like anime and anime girls.
