There's only one rule to this: You have to pick a character based on their abilities. You cannot pick someone based on personal preferences. You also can't pick a character over another simply because you know that character (let's say that the two choices are Sven Holgersson from Voltron and Norway from Hetalia. You aren't allowed to pick Norway simply because you have no idea who Sven is).

Also, in the case of Hetalia characters, you cannot defend them or backup your choosing them by saying "he/she is a country", since they're not countries, but instead simply humans masquerading with their respective countries' names as their own names. As far as I and this tourney are concerned, the "he/she is a country" excuse holds no water and means jack shit. If you think otherwise, that's just too damn bad. Those are the rules, boys and girls. Besides, there's always the back button...

Since people are apparently too stupid and/or lazy to look up a character's name on Google, I'll leave links to Wiki articles (not the best source, I know) where you can read up on a character. Anyways...

Also the Hetalia thing was a bit uncalled for....Hetalia has nothing to do with this poll. If you don't like it, that's your business, but don't go looking for opportunities to knock the show.

How am I insulting Hetalia with this? All I'm specifying is that Hetalia characters in this tourney are simply humans and aren't countries.

You aren't insulting it directly, but why mention Hetalia at all if they have nothing to do with the round?
