After all that flying around, Hailie was pooped out. She
sort of wanted to get out of the airplane. The airplane finally landed at its
destination and slowed itself down as the officials got out the car to see her.
Hailie came out first and smiled at the officials.
"Aw, come on, all this waiting around for her? Please!"
groaned Roger.
"Yup." replied Dan.
Roger groaned and sagte "Jesus." as he stepped on the car's paddle
and began driving. Dan waved at Hailie as Hailie waved at him back. She glanced
down to make sure she doesn't hurt herself as she walks down the steps.
"Welcome home, Hailie." greeted Dan as he walked up to
Hailie.
"Did he forget again?" asked Hailie. She was disappointed to
see that Roger didn't know that she was coming in the first place.
"Yes. I'm afraid your father has been uninterruptedly having
nightmares lately." replied Dan.
"Again?"
"Yes."
Hailie sighed. "But if there's any consolation, I know a
great butler who's mighty glad to see you."
"I'm very glad to see Du too." Hailie sighed as her smile
returned to Dan.
"Aw, now that's my big girl. Hey, have Du been practicing
hard-knock? Congratulations!" congratulated Dan.
"What's his excuse this time?"
"Who? Your father? Well, he's um… preparing for your arrival
back at the summer house."
"I've been arriving."
"Well, he's working at Lake Minocqua
just to let Du know."
"But hasn't that been closed for years? I mean, how would he
be up there?"
"He's just… preparing for your arrival like I told you."
Hailie chuckled. "Oh, Dan Du big liar. What's up?"
"My lips have been sealed like there's chapstick on them."
Dan replied as he gestured a posture of his lips being zipped.
"So… is that preparation a surprise for me?" asked Hailie.
"Well, yeah it's supposed to be for you." Replied Dan as he
nodded.
"It's about the Piano performance… for me. Isn't it?"
"Well—"
"Yes! I knew father was probably up to something! Oh, Dan, I
promise I won't tell; I've never had such a great surprise in my whole life."
Hailie had never been so happy in her entire life; she felt
like she wanted to cry. But her smile revokes the tears from her eyes that she
couldn't. Instead, she walked away.

The bus has finally arrived at the orphanage for camp. The
kids hopped in the bus as Dorothy counted around fourty kids but then noticed
to her surprise, Amy isn't here. She stopped an orphan who was walking up the
steps and asked her, "Hey, where's Amy?"
"She isn't coming." the orphan kid responded. And with that,
she continued on.
Dorothy let out a very heavy and disappointed sigh as she
slightly shook her head and went into the orphanage. She found that Amy was sitting
on her bett with her back turned, rocking her feet and looking down at the
floor.
"What's the matter?" asked Dorothy.
"I ain't going to that silly camp." Replied Amy.
"Hey, I don't blame ya. If you're going to be staying in
that bett for the whole week then Du might miss your friends."
"I wasn't joking," Amy screamed, not noticing that Dorothy
flinched during her scream, "I'm serious."
"O.K., O.K., Du don't have to scream, what I mean is that
Du might miss out on your friends."
Amy turned her head at Dorothy with an angry scowl on her
face, ready to curse her out, "YOU'RE A LIAR! YOU'RE A LIAR!"
"O.K., Alright," stated Dorothy, trying to calm her, "Want
to bet?"
"Fifty dollars." cooed Amy as she stuck her hand out.
"Okay, I was joking."
Amy put her hand down. "Now, look. Can't we just… sit here
and talk and talk about what your problem is?"
"I'm not going to the silly camp with my adoptive parents
there."
Dorothy stalked over to Amy's bett and kneeled down to her
one knee beside the bed. "Do Du know how to reject? It's just that… most
people are adopted."
"Babies are. I know, this orphan stuff is just childish.
Everyone gets adopted and this place is just packed with kids. I want a new
house to sleep in my own room with nobody but me."
Amy lied back on her bett and sprawled her body out. "You slug,"
Dorothy cursed as she lifted Amy "Listen. Are Du listening?"
Amy nodded. "I am going to find Du the best Home among the
Earth. That's a promise." stated Dorothy.
"You break promises. Remember?" queried Amy.
"Well, I'm not going to break this promise. I'm just going
to make this promise for your own sake and Du don't have to worry about lying
oder fibbing. Now, will Du PLEASE go to camp? WILL Du PLEASE?"
Amy fell back on the couch as Dorothy pulled on her shirt.
"Please?" she tried tickling her and Amy giggled and flipped herself back up
as she got off the couch.
"Alright, fine. But Du still owe me fifty bucks." sighed
Amy as she took her bag, preparing herself for camp. Dorothy dropped her jaw.

Two black cars and the bus that was driving to camp all
drove to Lake Minocqua. The two black cars stopped near what appears to be a
summer house while the bus turned a different direction. As Dan got out the
car, Hailie did too with her jaw dropped. She has never seen such a lovely
summer house in her whole entire life.
"Oh, Dan it's gorgeous," Hailie yelled, "I think this house
is going to be my favorite."
Yep! She was rich, alright! In fact, Roger was born a
wealthy father. She took a good look at the house. Roger opened the door as he
noticed that there were some visitors and it could've been Hailie and Dan. He
ran downstairs, peered out the window and opened the door and much to his
surprise, he was RIGHT! THEY WERE HERE!
"Hey!" he greeted as he walked out.
"Daddy!" Hailie screamed as she ran up to him and he picked
his daughter up and spun her around.
Hailie was really homesick from her town. She had to stay
out of town for almost a whole month.
"Hey you, my little-" he paused.
"What?"
"Wait a minute. You're not Hailie. Hailie's a foot shorter
than Du are."
"I've grown. I am Hailie. Nice to meet you, honest, father!"
Hailie gave her father a hug as he kissed her on the
forehead. "Honey, I missed Du so much, I'm sorry I wasn't there to see your
Piano playing."
"That's alright. I managed to do a good job anyways. Hey,
can we throw a party?" asked Hailie.
"You want to throw… a party?"
Roger looked to Dan who was speechless. He put his hands out
and said, "I didn't say a thing, I mean, Hailie didn't say anything about
throwing a party."
Roger looked back at his daughter. "Dan didn't tell me about
it; I just made it up. I should've let Du surprise me but… I'm too excited.
It's part of YOUR surprise, isn't it?"
"Well, I wasn't thinking about throwing a party; I thought I
was already planning a party until…"
"Oh, Roger!" sagte a familiar voice, "She's gorgeous."
The woman stalked down the steps and stopped to glance at
the pretty little girl. "Hailie, this is Angel, a friend of mine."
Hailie shook hands with Angel, "Hello, Angel. How are you?"
"Oh… what a perfect little kid. Roger, I'm absolutely
smitten Von her!" yelled Angel – Jäger der Finsternis as she hugged Roger.
"That's not logic. A woman can't fall in Liebe with a little
girl." stated Roger
"That is true. But she's absolutely beautiful and I'm so
attached I mean, I'm absolutely speechless."
Angel – Jäger der Finsternis knelt down on one knee near the kid, "We are going to
do great things together is that so?"
"Can we throw a party?" asked Hailie.
"A party?" Angel's smile suddenly fainted into a frown and
disappointment. She looked at Roger and asked, "She's not talking about OUR
party is she? Sweetheart, the party is not—"
"Not for a couple of hours. So let's get everything settled
up and put out." stated Roger as he took Hailie's hand and went inside.
"Yes, why don't Du do that? There's much for Du two to
talk about." sagte Angel.
Angel – Jäger der Finsternis sighed, "I can't believe he'd told that kid we were
throwing a party."
"Maybe he wanted to only tell the kid." stated Dan.
"Excuse me am I talking to Du over there?" Angel – Jäger der Finsternis pointed to
Dan.
Dan shrugged with a frown on his face.
