Just want to say:

2. Does 'fanfiction' qualify as a genre?

But I like so many genres that my actual main-staple book that I'm working on (by working on I mean procrastinating profusely because it's a monster of a concept) is a mash up of so many different genres that I'm not even sure I can rightfully call it a fantasy, even if things like faeries and magic are the main focus. And philosophy. Philosophy and symbolism are staples of my writing style more than anything else, really...

But most stuff I write falls into the fantasy category so that's what I'll go with.

I find fantasy cool and I absolutely love it- to write and read as well

I actually have a mixed style. I tend to combine a lot of different aspects. Fantasy, Sci-fi, Dystopian and Historical fiction especially !!!!

Fantasy-Horror-Satire

Fantasy and anime. Usually the anime comes as fantasy-based, anyway.

@ThePrincesTale. I'm of two minds about that. On one hand, fan-fiction is a lot different to writing other stuff that you've created, essentially, yourself. But, on the other hand, any fan-fiction still has a general genre to covers it, like fiction or non-fiction, or fantasy, or whatever.
