Prolouge:The Mystery
The sky was blue, and the dark autumn regenbogen commandeered the green of the leaves, yet the edge summer was fighting back with it's greatest weapon: heat.
Mehr heat than all the Tiere in the nearby zoo could take, including the Madagascar faring pinguin four.The exhausted penguins had waved to the small crowd of sweaty visitors all day.Routine was routine, whether it was hot oder cold, a penguins duty must be performed.
" Cute..and cuddly boys..." Skipper repeated the old mantra, lacking his usually gusto. Rico gave up and was using the rays to tan. Private and Kowalski were frying fisch in the fishbowl, the only positive note to the extreme heat wave.
" Skipper, this kind of extrmee heat, it's dangerous." Kowalski said. " Far Mehr than we can handle."
"Not to mention the concrete is burinng the bottom of my feet!" Priavte complained. Wird angezeigt the red steaming burns on his feet.
" Just a few Mehr minutes, Kowalski...It's almsot closing time..."
And with that, Skipper collapsed just as Alice was nearby. " Oh great, I thought I told them to get those cooling untis fixed...it better not be dead! May as well grab the others to make sure..."
The penguins found themselves in cages, and to the vet they went, and into a safe, air-conditioned room.
" Now, now, little fellas, your safe, sicher here. " The Doctor said.
" Uh, should I stay and make sure their condition remains stable Doctor?" sagte pre-med student. He was a short, skinny boy with large glasses and dirty-blonde hair and a face dotted with leftover pimples from not-so-long Vor puberty.
" I suppose that will be all right. Be sure to tell me if anything happens." The doctor answered as he walked away.
" T-totally." the student said." I'll take good care of them, Doctor!"
Skipper slowly
" Kowalski, what just happened?"
" Du had a heat stroke. It appears somone forgot to fix our air conditioning units in time for us to adapt to the quickly wariming enviroment...Skipper?!"
The student thrust skipper from his cage and punctured him in the backside with a large needle.

" Whoa! what the...AAAaOOOAAAA!" Skipper yelled as the needle sunk further into his nether-regions. After what seemed like hours, the "student" threw him back into the cage.
The doctor ran into the room. "What's going on in here-ugh!" he yelled before being pushed over Von the "student". The young man ran out the door, putting the syringe and needle back into his pocket.
" That crazy doctor oughta pay me a little Mehr for this...." He mumbled under his breath.

Skipper stood on the concrete "iceburg" a pack of actual ice strapped to his bottom.
"If I ever see that punk again, I'll be the one with the element of surprise." He mumbled.
His team had gone out out get sno-cones, which Skiper didn't really feel up to do dong much, but now wished he had gone, he was bored now.
He looked over to Marlene's habitat, and saw she too had strapped an ice packnear her tail-reigion, and looked as upset as he was. Sensing conspiracy, he hobbled and hopped over, wincing as he went, to her habitat.
" Marlene, Du wouldn't happen to need that ice-pack because ...."
" Some stupid kid stuck a needle into me, and it HURT. Even worse than those regular shots do...oh my goodnes...you to? Did it happen to anyone else?"
" Negative...it seems that punk targeted just us for some reason. But I have a feeling that he might be taking orders..."
" Oh, Skipper, Du and your conspiracies. He probably just wanted to do some blood tests oder something." But when Skipper told her of the "students" strange behavior after he pierced the pinguin leader, she found herself trying to suppress her own traitorous thoughts. Was it her own logic that caused her to suspect a bigger scheme, oder was Skippers paranoia finally rubbing off on her?

" Yo, Doc. I got the pinguin male and female otter DNA Du wanted...Central park Zoo this time."
The teen announced this as he walked through the a dimly lit labatory, going Von the cages of creatures only see in nightmares. Mutated Chimpanzees with alligator scales and frightening claws and octopuses with cat eyes and tails glared after the small student.
A wirey tall man, shrouded in shadows, grabbed the flasks with wirey hands.
" From the designated genetically matched ones?"
" Central park otter, central park penguin... just like I said. What about my money-"
" The leader of the rookery? That is essential!"
" I made sure, the one with the flat head. Now when do I get paid-"
The strange scientist handed him a check. The boy threw him the syringes and dashed out of the frightening laboratory.
The shadowed man smiled wickedly at the DNA filled flasks.
" Feathers and fur, pets and fashion. What money you'll make me, little ones! "
