I understand why people like horror and gore in general but our fandom seems especially obsessed with it sometimes. Maybe it's because it's interesting to see typically sweet and docile characters such as our ponies be seen in a Mehr darker light. Anyway I thought Sweet apfel, apple Massacre sucked hard but I wasn't surprised because it was created Von an anti-brony who get all pissy because a brony beat him at COD oder something like that. Cupcakes was alright, nothing special but at least it has a place in our fandom.

Du want to read a REAL grimdark fanfiction? Read "Cheerilees garden". That out of make people shut up about how scary Cupcakes it.

Personally I only made two grimdark pony stories, the rest are purely comedy and fluff. I prefer to type fanfic where the ponies I Liebe are HAPPY.

Like Du said, I came into it out of curiosity. And Cupcakes has scarred me for life. Yeah, not a Fan of grimdark.

I don't like it. I didn't know it would be that bad... curiosity got the best of me, yes. I understand. I fainted (literally fainted!) while Lesen Cupcakes.

i actually like the grimdark stories, it took me some time to get used to them at first, some of them sickened me (Sweet apfel, apple Massacre) and some of them were really long and started to bore me (Cheerilee's Garden) but as soon as i read Trixie's Funhouse, it was just "meh" at that point, and my Favorit is Sweet apfel, apple Massacre.

I don't like grimdark, but a lot of people do. People like horror Filme and books, and that spills into ponies. I used to think it was absolutely abominable (some of it is), but then I realized that it's just someone's preference. People like scary and gory, and MLP is something so innocent that it's ripe for mutation. I don't approve of that, though. Cupcakes got thrown at me, and I freaked out. But later I returned to finish it, and even though I hated it, I found it somehow interesting. While Cupcakes was horrific and marred Pinkie's reputation, it wasn't as bad as it gets. If one looks at it as a story separate from FiM, then it doesn't seem so bad. Oh, and this cheered me up after Lesen Cupcakes: link

Shed.Mov didnt really bother me that much. I think the fact that the voices are so hilarious that it's easy to not take it seriously.

Cupcakes I read the whole way through, and I kinda/sorta wish I hadn't. Even though my Favorit pony Liste changes a lot, since i'm so fickle when it comes to that kind of thing, regenbogen dash was usually up there near #1, so Cupcakes really kind of sickened me, but at the same time it helped to hold on to the fact that it's just a fanfiction.

Sweet apfel, apple massacre: I've never read it. I've heard some stuff about it, that it's way worse than cupcakes, but i've never read it. I started Lesen it once, but I chickened out.

Why do we like grimdark? This is just my opinion, but I believe some of us like grimdark because we like to scare (or sicken) ourselves before going back to the cute, lovable ponies that are My little pony: friendship is magic. I think it helps to hold on to the fact that "It's only a fanfiction" Then again, i've seen the movie version of "Cupcakes" on Youtube before, but I wasnt too bothered Von that.

At first I hated cupcakes, but I've grown to like it. regenbogen Dash is my Sekunde Favorit character so it's nothing against her. It is at least respectable for being well written and the characterizations are somewhat believable.

Same with Shed.Mov; I found it creepy at first, but now I Liebe that video.

I absolutely HATE Sweet apfel, apple Massacre after hearing what it's about and I refuse to read it. I think that it is just a festering pile of shit and should be treated as such. Now I don't even like Big Mac that much anymore just because of it. See what stories do to your view on the characters?

The whole "write a gory My Little pony fanfic" thing has turned into some kind of fad where a bunch of people are going to have a pissing match about who can write the most mindless and tasteless gore fic. :|

But I do like gore, that is if it's done right.

If Du want a good gore story, Du need to have three things:
1) The gore of course.
2) The ability to invoke a sense of dread in the reader.
3) Being well-written and compelling to read.


Why the bronies and pegasisters like to read and write this sort of stuff? Who knows, really.

I am not fond of gore. I like slightly creepy oder eerie things, but nothing graphic.
I have never even heard of these stories Du speak of, but I'm glad to have now so that I may avoid them.

I was close to crying when I read Cupcakes, (because I Liebe Pinkie Pie, and to see her character torn apart like that..) But, listening to "Giggle at the Ghosties" taught me just to laugh at how silly it is.

SHED.mov is indescribably silly. It's just like Llamas with Hats.

I've read Cheerilee's Garden, but I wasn't affected because, frankly, I don't care for Cheerilee oder the other rugrats. It was basically SAW for ponies.

Honestly, Du should try Lesen the regenbogen Factory. It's a decent one. It doesn't, at least, have a sh*tload of gore, violence and sex. It's quite decent. I'm not a Fan of gore oder even Fan fiction, but the regenbogen Factory was quite decent.

Cupcakes scared the hell out of me. I eventually passed out halfway of Lesen it. I just don't like seeing any Videos oder pictures of these gory fanfictions because I have hemophobia.

Out of all of those, I've only seen shed.mov, which was frankly disturbing for a while. That was the first and last time I'll watch that.

Cupcakes, I have never read, and I count myself a lucky pegasister. I heard terrible things about it, and I wasn't that intrigued anyway.

I read it because i'm obsessed with grimmdark ponies such as fanfics, animation, flash game, fanarts, etc. They don't scare me, they don't make me puke, they were my inspirations. Thats why i read it. Furthermore, I will going to make my own grimmdark comic soon.

Cupcakes? Ive read it multiple times , not THAT scary. Its gore galore but not scary. Like someone else said, fanfics can seriously change your view of a character. Today, for instance, I read an invader zim fanfic (dont know what invader zim is? Google it! Lolz), I swear that when i finished it, I saw Dib as a horrible homicidal maniac. I was all like wtf :p. Sweet apfel, apple Massacre? Lame, stupid, crappy, short,idiotic, excuse of a fanfic, crappy (did I say crappy twice?) It was the most stupidest story I have read in all my life (im only 13). Cheerilees garden? Disturbing, terrifying, awesome! Now thats what I call a horror fanfic! Heck, I couldnt get past silver spoon and diamond tiaras death.
But, the action of me laughing,giggling,and sneering while Lesen Sweet apfel, apple Massacre and Cheerilees Garden makes me Frage about my sanity... e_o

The thing is its NOT scary. None of those silly creepy pastas are. In fact I like Cupcakes, cause the writer actually gave me a fair amount of inspiration in the ways he described stuff. And THAT's why I like like..

The real question.. Why do people act as if it ruined their life.. Haven't Du ever read my spoof for it. Witch was actually MY WAY of telling people stop taking so damn seriously. IT'S A F***IN STORY! And stop hating on poor Pinkie as well! It will obviously never happen, EVER!

It's takes Mehr than over the oben, nach oben torture scenes to be scary. And that all the film and MLP creepy pastas are.. Nothing else.

Gore isn't scary. It's just gore.
Scary is when Du DON'T know what happening, oder Creepy masks smiling at you, oder a ghost,y figure staring at Du from a window..

I could go on and on.. But my point is made...

I don't. I have feelings for regenbogen Dash, and I don't give a goddamn what anyone thinks about it either. It wasn't curiosity for me, it was the misleading titles.
