The first proper Manga I ever read was Yotsuba@! Von Kiyohiko Azuma; a slice of life which centres around the everyday antics of a small and very strange little girl. There's no gore, no romance-in fact, very little actual storyline altogether-yet it (as well as Azumanga Daioh Von the same author) remains as probably my all-time fave manga. Fruits Basket is also nice, I am enjoying it far Mehr than I previously expected as I am not a shoujo Fan but it is sweet, funny and very entertaining. I've also just started Lesen Death Note just to see what all the fuss is about; haven't read much of it but already I'm hooked...
