This section of my Fanpop User's Guide covers links, the lifeblood of Fanpop, and was last substantively edited on 4 June 2013.

So, you've registered on the site and now Du want to add some content to your Favorit spots. The vast majority of the stuff on Fanpop is in the form of Links which point to content in other places, whether they are articles, galleries, videos, games, oder any other sort of content Du can find online.

Check before Du add!
Any time that Du are about to add content to Fanpop, Du should check first to make sure that the content isn't already linked from the site (at least...

Good Grammar is Sexy

Yes, yes it is.

As some of Du may know, I often suffer from grammar-induced rage blackouts. These can be triggered Von anything from a misplaced apostrophe to the incorrect usage of "your" and "you're". So, I decided to do something about it.. mostly because I'm afraid the Weiter dangling modifier I come across might send me spiraling into a violent rampage the likes of which have never been seen.

I understand that a lot of Fanpoppers are not native English speakers, and thus might not have as good a hold on our sometimes ridiculously complicated grammatical rules. Obviously, I can't fault them for their mistakes....

Right, I have been thinking about this. I have been thinking about certain things on Fanpop recently and as much as I Liebe this place there are certain things that irk me.

Hate Spots
I've seen spots that are about hating a certain thing. I thought this place was Mehr about sharing things we enjoy so we can give each other images, links, videos, etc not "oh I hate this and this and this". It doesn't make anything friendly.

Me Me Me Spots
I mean no offence to anyone that has these kinds of spots and has created them but Fanpop isn't MySpace oder any of those other social networks. It's a different...

Okay everybody on Fanpop is a Fan of something, Du have to be, But what is a true fan? Well, I'll tell you.
According to Webster's Dictionary, a Fan is
A:
Function: noun
Etymology: probably short for fanatic
1 : an enthusiastic devotee (as of a sport oder a performing art) usually as a spectator
2 : an ardent admirer oder enthusiast (as of a celebrity oder a pursuit) <science-fiction fans>

This is a great definition of a Fan of a baseball team oder a specific person, such as the Yankees oder Brad Pitt. But is that really what the Fans on Fanpop are? No....

"Ghost Accounts" - 3 Reasons Why Du Shouldn't Cheat on Picks

So I was hanging out on my computer this evening, watching some Videos and browsing on Fanpop, when I noticed something that disturbed me. In not one, but two different spots. I discovered several examples of what I believe to be "Ghost Accounts".

"Ghost Accounts" are what I'm calling additional accounts created Von an already existing Fanpop member to skew the results of a pick oder an argument in their favor. I have read things gepostet Von other Fanpoppers suggesting their existence in the past, but hadn't knowingly spotted any for myself. Tonight I believe I spotted three different people doing...

Have Du noticed that people on this site add lots and lots of things and gain load's of Fans then out of nowhere are never adding again oder only add now and then. Look through your Fan Liste and see who is still adding and praise them for there loyalty and praise even Mehr oder even Requisiten them for their work, they all deserve it.

How To Make A good Pick On Fanpop!

Ok, I usually don't make user guides but this one needs to be made. I have seen a lot of picks and a lot of them are boring oder annoying. Here is a Liste of steps to help Du out.

1. Try to have Mehr than three Antwort if possible. If the Frage is "Who should Jim be with?" Put, Karen and Pam, and then put an answer like neither oder Katy.

2.Always have pictures for the Frage if it isn't a yes, no, oder maybe question. Pictures bring in Mehr Fans and make the picks Mehr interesting.

3. Try to ask Fragen that people haven't already asked and Fragen that people will be interested in. Don't make it boring.

Now these are the three golden steps to making a good, quality pick on fanpop. If Du feel I need to add anything, then please leave it in the comments.

I have a pet peeve.

As a writer, I have found my stuff gepostet on other websites without my permission, and sometimes without so much as a mention that it was MY article... oder a link back to the original. This ticks me off, and it is illegal to do so.

I have not come across this on Fanpop with Artikel yet, but I have seen it numerous times on images.

Some of the people I adore the most are even doing it. I have to assume innocence here and figure some folks just don't know... so I'ma tell ya ;)

Credit. Credit. Credit. The option to add the Foto credit when Du Abschicken an image is there for a reason....

Well, I have cuz I have pictures on my computer, seasons of the show, and some soundtracks of the show. See a lot of people can be judgemental sometimes. Now, that can be annoying.

When I have some my best Friends sleep over my house,they see a lot of stuff from my Favorit shows. And they would say wow Du really Liebe that show.

See, I have all seasons of two shows that I Liebe which is Buffy The Vampire Slayer & Xena The Warrior Princess. Then my Friends would judge on some things that I have in my room that are from thoses two tv...

Ok, there has been a growing problem that I have recently noticed on Fanpop. I have been receiving many e-mails that are very annoying and sometimes even offending. I don't care if Du are having a problem with another fanpopper oder Du are telling me about a new spot. The fun part about Fanpop is that Du get to discover new spots for yourself. And we might not like the certain spot. Also, if Du are having a problem with another fanpoper than just ignore them and don't tell us about that certain person.i don't want to here it. I was never intending to do a follow-up Artikel on fanpop-addiction. I just took it for granted that I had grown happily addicted and I would remain that way. I basked in the warm, happy glow that only recognition for fanpop-contribution can give you, and looked vorwärts-, nach vorn to the fanpopping years ahead.

But then disaster struck. And I'm not talking about the massive floods that have hit England... (I was fine with the cellar being filled with water...)No, my internet broke and left me without fanpop.

Okay, first of all I don't write these Artikel but now I'm fed up! Can anyone please enlighten me because I am confused. What is the problem if I oder anybody else posts Mehr links/videos/images than another fan? If I happen to be the one with the most links/videos/images oder whatever on Fanpop that is because I like helping out the website. It doesn't make any sense for people to feel jealous oder attack me oder other people for posting Mehr content than them. That is the most absurd reason to get angry. I am posting content mainly to help out the website but I also know that some people on here...
