Fanpop Clone Project Request and Bids

Ok, this is my first time to write a soapbox. Please be gentle with me and don't make it hurt too much. *giggle*

So I've been a member of Fanpop for a little while now, and I've seen how the community has evolved and grown. I first came to Fanpop for two reasons: link and link.

Towards the end of Season 1 of Heroes, my interest in Fanpop started waning. Call it TV burnout. But a funny thing happened: Dave sent me a message about a new feature that was going to debut: Picks! I dabbbled in it a little Von adding the pick: link It was fun, but I didn't think I'd be creative enough to add any good...

Heyy Fanpoppers! I decided to make this soapbox for people who need Motto ideas! Enjoy!

I found a Liste of science fiction Fan words that I thought some of Du guys out there in the Fanpop domain would enjoy (I've tried to define them in relation to Fanpop):



Actifan : A Fan who's active in fandom (by Schreiben soapbox articles, starting Foren etc.)

BNF : a Big Name Fan

Croggle : To shock oder Astound (If someone croggles you, Du are croggled oder becroggled)

Egoboo : An ego boost (the sort caused Von finding your Artikel featured oder someone new being a Fan of you)

Egoscan : To skim through an Artikel (publication) looking for your name mentioned (like googling yourself)

Faan : A Fan who's...

There are a lot of features on Fanpop. Some are well known and others are less well known (there are also a ton of others we *want* to do, but that's for another conversation). Today I thought I would highlight a few of the less-well-known features for you.

Why? Because, dammit, we spent time on these features! Sure picks and Bilder might be sexier, but these are the runts of the proverbial Fanpop-litter and they need some time in the spotlight too.

Hip-hip-hooray! Wow- I had just hit 20 Fans and I am so excited. I have been "fanpoping" since last June and frankly at first I joined Fanpop just to get to watch some Videos of my Favorit shows. As with any web site, Fanpop is only as good as its content. Some content - what I think of as the soul of the site - is generated Von users in the fora and in Kommentare on the rest of the content and cannot be rated. But the rest of the content - the body of the site - has a ratings system.
