First, I will offer an answer based on my own opinion of the anime:
No! Absolutely not! This is a proper warning! Lucky star, sterne is the absolute worst Anime ever devised since the dawn of time, and will scare Du half to death with its stupid antics. It is about nothing, almost literally, nothing at all. The plot consists of a group of high school girls who blow off their homework to play video games, watch anime, and read manga. While they are at school, they eat and giggle. It's terrible beyond comprehension.
Here is an alternate answer:
It depends on what sort of animes Du like. If Du are Mehr of a Shonen person, oder a Horror person, I think you'd hate Lucky Star. If Du like Comedy and Slice of Life, Liebe all things chibi, and like to fan-girl for things, Du would probably Liebe it. It mainly depends on what types of things Du like regarding to the world of Anime and manga.

Well i personally think that it is an Anime consisting of girls doing everyday stupid stuff so I would never watch it ...but u should watch it if u like girls who do everyday stuff:)
It is very much the definition of a slice of life/ school anime. It doesn't have much plot other than just following the lives of some high school girls. Personally I liked it, it's pretty funny and I found the characters pretty relate able. But yea if Du don't like slice of life, Du need something with a very solid plot, then I don't recommenced this. People are saying to watch the melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya because the voice actress for Haruhi and Konata (blue haired girl in lucky star) have the same voice actress and they actually make a reference to that fact in Lucky Star. Du can watch the whole series in English on Youtube, so if your not sure it never hurts to watch the first episode.
