I get pretty sad and angry whenever others decide to point out the flaws in my writing. It hurts me, makes me feel worthless.... it's not nice at all. I mean, sure, they might have good intentions (like if they want to help me improve), but I would prefer not to get criticized.

How do you guys take it?

I'm not going to lie I don't like it but I do try to learn from it. I do want to improve as a writer. But I still hate it I mean who wants to be told there writing isn't good?

Depends how they do it. If they are outright rude then I have a problem if it is just friendly constructive criticism, then I usually appreciate the feedback. The only way I can improve is if I know what I need to improve on.

Paragraph spacing and not rushing the plot line are two things that have been pointed out to me in the past and now I feel like my stories are much better, after addressing those things.

I like hearing constructive criticism, because it helps me better my writing. Doesn`t matter if it`s about the story as a whole, plot, character arcs or just writing style. As I mostly write for my own fun, I also kinda don`t care, but still like to hear feedback from others. And nobody yet has said anything so horrible that I would feel really bad. There always is something to learn from other`s opinions.

I write for fun, sometimes it depends on the way they say it it makes me sad, but if they got a point exp. grammar, errors etc. I do understand, they're trying to help me. I always heard, that many people usually avoid to read your fic, because of those mistakes and don't help you or point you that out to help you improve. What can piss me off, if people criticize the plot or when I do something they don't like (Exp. break up a popular ship) and say the fic is awful solely because of that, what someone just said last week to me as anon. (With bad grammar too :D)

If it's constructive criticism, I'm fine. I appreciate CC: it's an important tool in growing as a writer. If it's someone being petty because they don't like the ship I'm writing about, then I ignore it.

It depends on how polite they are. If they are giving me constructive critique, I am delighted to receive it, but if they are just being hateful, I pop off on them real fast.

If they give me constructive advice (which some have), I listen. When they just throw out childish insults, I don't take them seriously and move on with my day.
