I'm not exactly sure were I'm going with this, but I'm thinking their wizards. Tell me whatcha think, please.
Siddalee's dark blue curls were pulled back in a long ponytail; her mother had hastily fixed it in fear of being late to the Weihnachten party. Of course they were as early as ever, seeing as Sid was thirty Minuten early to the babysitters house.
A small hand reached up and tugged on that very same ponytail.Three Jahr old Siddalee's hair immediately turned a fiery red as a result of her anger and she spun to glare at the person whose hand it belonged to.
"Meanie," she whispered. Jinx, her neighbor who was also being babysat, just grinned at her then when the babysitter turned around, stuck his tongue out.
"You-you…" her three Jahr old brain couldn't think of a word strong enough to call Jinx without getting her in trouble with the babysitter. So instead, she reached her chubby little hands out and chased Jinx around, her bright hair trailing behind her.
"Jinx!" the babysitter shrieked as he skidded around her to avoid being hit Von Sid. She grabbed a hold of the five Jahr old's waist, lifting him off the ground. She also pushed her foot out to keep Siddalee from pouncing into her arms. "I told Du to leave each other alone." she sagte sternly and, after directing Siddalee to a well deserted living room, sat her on the large couch and absentmindedly handed her a dog toy to keep busy with, she dropped Jinx to the floor and started to ignore them.
Sid threw the dog toy down on the floor in disgust after realizing it was covered in slobber.
Stupid boys, she thought as she kick her socked foot against the leather couch. Sid glanced over the edge, and seeing as she was too small to get off,she pouted and leaned against the back of the couch.
"Awh,poor wittle Siddy to small to get off the couch?" Jinx taunted beneath her. She crossed her arms stubbornly and looked down at him. His bright green eyes were crossed and he was making one of those fishy faces.
I'll Zeigen him,she thought as she leaned vorwärts-, nach vorn and tumbled off the couch.
Sid sat up quickly and glanced around her empty room. It was dim and she could barely see a thing. First thing she thought of was her dream, which occurs pretty often since it's the only vivid memory she has of such a young age. She had fallen off the couch at age three and landed with her arm stretched out in an attempt to catch herself. The position she landed on caused her shoulder to be dislocated and it pushed up through her skin. The baby-sitter had gone ballistic, rushing around the house and calling the krankenwagen before calling even calling Sid's parents.
She reached up a little and rubbed the scar on her bare, freckled shoulder. The slightly puckered skin felt familiar as she ran her fingers lightly over it.
Now,eleven years later, she didn't really care about it anymore. She had at the time because Jinx would never stop taunting her about it. Of course he still did, calling her stubborn, even a little stupid,to try and get off the couch. Even though there is nothing really to taunt her about.
Really, she thought, more annoyed now that she thought about it,there is nothing funny about it.
Her hand dropped and she stretched her arms high above her head, hearing her joints pop. Her feet were already planted firmly on the ground, how, she wasn't sure. Sid sleepily dragged her feet to bathroom and on the way, glanced at the clock. She had to squint her eyes kind of hard because it was still pretty dark and the fluorescent green light was burning her eyes. Almost five in the morning,it read.
Sid flicked on the bathroom light, waited until her eyes had fully adjusted and leaned over the sink. She stared at her deep purple hair. It tended to turn that color when she slept. Even though her hair was a lazy purple, her eyes were a bright blue that was in deep contrast with her tan skin.
There were dark marks,a sign of old age, all around the edge of her mirror. She's lived in this house since she was born and never once have they tried to fix up her bathroom.
Her room (except the occasional color change) was always the same; the large oak dresser Von the door, her Queen sized bett off to the side Von her window, and the glass schreibtisch that held all her homework and Bücher (how the glass managed all that weight, she'd never know.)
She could now hear her mother knocking wildly on her bedroom door. "Siddalee! Wake up, we've got a long ride!"
Long ride indeed, she thought before starting to get ready.
