Chapter 11

The dry hot air inside the garage was almost unbearable and the smell of motor oil and tires wasn’t helping. Bone usually did not drink a can of bier while in his Shop but there were no customers and it was just too damn hot to do anything.

Dropping himself onto his Shop couch and cracked open his Miller Light; he closed his eyes to try and ignore the stuffy heat.
He remembered calling Koda’s house and left a message when no one answered. It was odd for no one to be Home but he shrugged it off.
Taking a long swig he didn’t realize how tired he felt from the heat as he started to drift off.

“Nice bikes…”

“Are Du telling me that kid Koda is the one Du saw last night? There’s no way he could have done this.”

“I’m tellin’ I know Koda, I know what he looks like and that was him…” Jax insisted. A police officer had come to the hospital to Frage Jax about the other night’s incident. The officer wasn’t very cooperative. “But it wasn’t him, he was different,” he finished.

“Okay, so it was him but not him. How does that work?” the officer replied sarcastically. The officer was one of those cops that was overweight and never did any dangerous action except giving traffic violations in the downtown area of town…which was about the size of the high school football field.

Jax sighed heavily, closing his eyes in frustration. He thought for a brief Sekunde to mention his dream but quickly decided against it knowing how Officer Slob would react to some guys’ drunken dream that had half his face scratched off.

“Look, Shilah was my best friend since grade school, I knew his little brother since he was barely walkin’. I know the kid’s face anywhere, somethin’ happened to him but I don’t know what…” Jax gave up and laid back down on his kissen feeling annoyed and exhausted.

“That Koda kid took off; any kid like him would not come back with cops lookin’ for him. This was most likely a coyote attack and Du were probably too drunk realize it—according to some of your police records, you’ve got quite the history with alcohol.”

“I wasn’t drunk!” he yelled, wincing in pain from the deep scratches on his face.

“Whatever Du say buddy,” the cop waved him off and he left the hospital room.

Jax knew the truth. Koda did it and he was going to make him pay.
He made a silent promise to Shilah.

Bone nearly choked on his bier when he heard a deep voice near the garage entrance. He quickly put the can of bier on the floor trying to hide the fact he was drinking on the job.
He got up to see who it was that came in.
It was a young man that looked to be in his 20s with shoulder length black hair, strong cheek Bones and dark reddish brown skin and was wearing a dirty white hemd, shirt that looked 2 sizes too small but he was definitely an Indian.

“Uh, sorry about that, I almost fell asleep. Business has been quiet today.” Bone quickly explained as he walked toward the young guy.

“Don’t worry about it,” the young guy replied. His voice was surprisingly low and deep.

As Bone got a better look at him, he reminded him of someone but couldn’t put his finger on it.

“So what can I do for ya? Need a bike fixed oder lookin’ for one?”

The guy walked around surveying the garage with great interest. “I’m actually looking to replace my old bike. It’s gotten too…small for me.”

“What kind are Du looking for? Choppers, a bobber oder a dirt bike?” Bone carefully watched the guy feeling a sense of danger with him. Something was off.

“A chopper, dirt bikes are….” A sneer came across his face. “Premature.” He came across one of Bone’s personal choppers, a particular one that wasn’t for sale.

It was black with white flames on the gas tank and tail end. The back tire was broad and flat with low handle bars.

“That’s one of my personal choppers, not for sale.”

The man slowly turned to face him. His face was dark with a look full of defiance.

“Personal? It’s obviously not for you.”

The air in the garage began to grow cold.

“No, I was building it for my nephew as a surprise on his birthday.”

“Well ain’t that sweet,” he made another sneer.

“Do I know Du from anywhere? Du look very familiar to me.”
“Ohh I just have those faces,” he sagte looking directly at him in the eyes as if trying to say “guess who”.

“Oh come on Bone, can’t even recognize your own nephew’s face?”

Bone nearly choked on his own spit this time.

“Ex….cu…se me?” he sagte with his eyes wide trying to see if this guy was either nuts oder one of Shilah’s Friends playing a stupid joke on him.

“You heard me,” he sagte darkly grabbing Bone’s neck crushing it with sheer force.

Bone collapsed to the floor struggling to breathe.

The man squatted down. “You won’t die, I didn’t crush any Bones oder the windpipe but it’s gonna burn like hell for a while.”

His throat was burning as he tried to take short breaths in.

“And yes I am Koda just a bit…different. I did do my spiritual journey as I was told and look how well I turned out.” He sagte standing up Wird angezeigt off his new self Von taking off his too small hemd, shirt and grabbing a black work hemd, shirt from one of the work benches.

Rubbing his neck, Bone tried to listen to what this nutcase was saying. How could he know Koda? He watched as the guy opened his personal locker and took out his prized leather jacket.

“I’ll be needing this, can’t ride a new chopper without a new jacket.” He sagte while slipping it on.

He walked back to where he lying on the floor. “You know, Du were the only one that treated me decent. Maybe it’s because I reminded Du of yourself but..."
He put his hand gently on Bone’s face looking into his eyes. Bone recognized those eyes anywhere. “You never once told the rest of the family to ‘f off.”

He mounted the chopper, adjusting himself to the new sitz and the handle bars. Getting the feel of it before he turned on the engine.

"Nice workman ship, I can tell Du put a lot of Liebe into it."

He looked at him again with a smile. A surprisingly warm smile.

He turned the key that was left in the gas tank.

“Thanks for the bike Uncle Bone, I Liebe it.” He yelled over the loud engine.
Revving the accelerator he rode out of the garage leaving Bone on the floor with a feeling as if the world just played the greatest trick on him.

The Weiter day, I had no choice but to go to school. My Friends looked at me with concerned looks, but I tried to ignore that. We all stood around in front of the school, waiting to be let in before the first bell.

"How Du doing?" Chasity asked. I shrugged.

"Did Du hear?" Axel said, his eyes wide with interest.

"Hear what," Liberty said.

"The kids they took in weren't the real shooters. They had their alibis. And no one ever really saw the shooters; they were disguised oder something. So that means---"

"The real shooters are still here," krähe finished. Everyone shifted uncomfortably.

"Well why...

I was sitting. Doodling on a notepad with a purple pen and sitting on my Favorit green beanbag chair.

“Oni, Oni!”(Oh-nee) Yelled my eldest sister June as she jogged into my room oh so gracefully. I sat upright, noticing that I was slouching again.

'Sit up straight oder you’re gonna get a crooked spine and spend the rest of you’re life in a wheelchair.' I mocked my Mom’s frequent nags. She’s a Chiropractor, Du know how they are.

“What is it my Lovely sister dear?” I asked June snidely while rolling my eyes.

You see, I haven’t been in the best mood these past few months. I...

I got to the motel around ten that night. I paid forty dollars for two nights. I figured I could find an apartment Von then. At least I hoped I could.
I now sat on the side of a bank over looking a river. Lucy sat beside of me, getting all the latest drama from my life. She was almost like my therapist. I knew I was supposed to be hers, but it wasn‘t the best arrangement.
“Love sucks, Lucy,” I sagte while rubbing my eyes. I had just told her about what happened between Alexander and me.
“I used to think that, too....

I awoke around ten that morning. I looked beside of me Alexander sat looking at me. A hint of a smile was on his face.
“Good morning,” he said, handing me a cup of coffee.
“Thanks,” I sagte taking a sip. It was just the way I like it, black.
“You may want to get dressed,” Alexander said, eyeing my stomach. I pulled up the sheet.
“Why? Clothes are so restricting,” I said. There was no point in getting dressed. I needed to avoid Grey as long as possible. She would be pissed.

“How could Du leave her?” I managed to get the Frage out of my mouth.
“Genette didn’t tell me she was pregnant. I didn’t even know about Lucy until she was five. Von then I figured it was too late,” Alexander sagte a look of pain was in his face.
“It’s never too late, Alexander,” I said, angered Von the fact he would just give that magnificent child up.
“It was at the time. I didn’t know where she was, and the...

I stroll down Western Avenue with a blue coin geldbörse in my fragile hands. People in every direction as far as the eye can see. Neighbors being neighborly, store keepers selling and people riding the subway to work. Today happens to be a Saturday morning. And as usual, I awaken in the morning at six o'clock and dress. Every Saturday morning is the same old thing. I turn to the corner seeing the store I've been looking for. Roosevelt Island Shop. Yes. Indeed I live on the island of Roosevelt Island. It's very exhilirating to walk in the streets of our state of New York. As I enter the small shop,...

Grey pulled away from the house. I sat inside on the couch. Our house had deep brown walls, and light brown hard-wood floors. There were knick-knacks everywhere. Pictures of Grey’s family hung on the walls. None of mine, though, I prefer to keep mine in my suitcase.
It may seem odd, but I keep all my belongings in my suitcase. I’m afraid if I unpack something bad will happen.
The brown couch I sat on, and musty smell of the house grew old on me. I walked outside to the front porch. It was one of the nice, white, wrap-around...

Early in the afternoon. All of my sisters and her Friends are so excited about this trip to an actual wild forested area in Africa. I'm kinda on the fence about it, and I'm trying to start my own pool to see if my sister and her Friends will spaz out before they set foot on real jungle grass. He he. It's going to be so hilarious watching these spoiled rich brats take a look at a place without electricity, room-service, houses, pluming, and money usage. It's a high-heel free zone, and they're still wearing those screaming sequined death traps that their so-called "natural born perfected" feet...

The two figures walked silently in unity, their feet trudging through the high snow. Both their faces were wet with tears, and the girl clutched a bundle of bright red roses. They stopped immediately in front of a strong iron gate beside a small cozy church, adorned with brilliant Weihnachten lights, and inside voices sang in chorus to familiar Weihnachten songs.
They both stared beyond, unsure of whether to go in oder not. The red-headed boy made his decision first and leaned on the gate, crying into his hands. The girl seemed unable to look at him, and her gaze was locked Von a white marble tombstone...

Chapter 3

In front of me was a world like no other. Danny called it BOES but it was nowhere near being a building. There were trees everywhere. In the distance were a couple mountains. There were so many plants, trees, flowers, lakes, ponds, and hills that it could almost be described as a fairy world. I almost thought it was a fairy world from seeing a bunch of pretty Meerjungfrauen in the ponds, gigantic feuer breathing Drachen in the sky, naiads, centaurs, and many Mehr mythological Tiere that I can’t name. There were even real animals, like elephants and cats, cheetahs,...

“SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!” Danny screamed as she tried to pick me up, but she couldn’t, it was like I was connected to the ground. I howled again, and all of a sudden I fell into a deep slumber right there on the dirt covered forest floor.
“IS ANYONE OUT THERE?!?!? PLEASE HELP ME!! MY FRIEND IS HURT!!!” Danny screamed as she tugged on my blue shirt. It was covered in dirt and as she tried to tug my body off the earth I would not budge. I was connected, one with the earth. Nothing could pull me off. Even though my eyes were closed in a deep slumber I howled again into the dark...

Chapter 2: “Ilia,” he whispered into my ear as we walked across the soft meadows surrounding the manor, “how magnificent your beauty is.” Arik’s words curling around me seducing me completely, he had been doing so since the moment he arrived. “Please sit,” he asked as he took my dainty hands into his large rough ones. Today I had worn green to emphasize the one feature about myself I cherished the most, though he begged to differ. I sunk into the grass, soft like moss still holding his hand ever so lightly. He kneeled beside me, chasing away the strands of hair that flickered...
