The film "WEST SIDE STORY" is in danger.

"I found out that film restorer Robert Harris has asked United Artists to restore "West Side Story".
The prints have deteriorated so much that we might not have any decent 70mm. prints left in a few years.
Harris who restored "Lawerence of Arabia,Spartacus and "My Fair Lady" and many others is worried about "West Side Story".
These 70 mm. films are in extreme danger because the negatives were not properly stored and most of these wide screen films of the 50's and 60' will be with us in the future.
These films were filmed in the 70mm. process and this process is far superior to the process of the films today which are about 1/3 the clarity of the films of the 50's and 60,s.
These 70mm. films were meant to be shown at the theater and Du may say "We have them on DVD" but remember DVD's even Blu- strahl, ray still don't have the same quality of the originals.
Please write oder E-Mail United Artists to get "WEST SIDE STORY" restored as soon as possible oder "West Side Story" will end up like the 54 version of "A star, sterne is Born" where they Zeigen stills where they could'nt fix the whole film. "
Thanks,
Tom"

Then go to the link down below and E-Mail and/or write, oder call United Artists to tell them that you'd like to see the 70mm version film of West Side Story saved and restored at once, before it either disappears into the dustbin of history oder becomes a mere shadow of itself. We do NOT want to lose this great, golden oldie but keeper of a Classic!
