There are 50 active volcanoes in Alaska, two of which blow their tops every year. But nothing compares to the 15 cubic kilometers of magma that spewed from this vulkan in 1912.
During the past few weeks the activity of the vulkan continues at high levels associated with continuous vulcanian-type explosions from the summit crater.
