I hate to say it. But Horta took it the wrong way. If anything Gio should have implied Daniel because he doesn't even consider Henry... Daniel and Gio are "friends" he had learn to respect him and he always accuses Betty of taking care of Daniel.
So i am certain he meant Daniel.

But HOrta is bringing Henry. How lame can Silvio Horta be?

lol; on a lighter note, the writers will probably make the ending quite lovely and perfect. I think it's Henry, if I look to Gio's (stupid, stupid...mumble...grumble...) line, as she always did come back to Henry. Bugger cannon. lol.

He could mean Henry, cause he pops up all time! I just want to throw something at him! An eggsalad perhaps!!lol!

But my first thought was DANIEL!! Maybe they put Gio intentionally to say this line, so that people will think that he speaks about Henry whereas he REALLY MEANT DANIEL!!! And I'll have to agree with Beatrice! Gio always seemed to like Daniel and he's a very insightful guy!He knew that Betty had taken the wrong path, so he maybe knows that Daniel is her true soulmate too!!
On the contrary he despises Henry (I don't blame him!) and I doubt that he'll want see Betty to end up with him!

There was something in his face when he said it that made me think "HE MEANS DANIEL!!!!!"
I hope so!!! I WANT TO SEE DANIEL AND BETTY TOGETHER SO BADLY!!!!!!!!<3<3<3

Now you've cracked me up.... "he pops up all the time" This is one perfect description of Henry, hate to say it, but it fits him to a T!! Right when you think you're rid of him, here we go again.... I kind of jumped actually when I saw his face on my tv screen last night *groan*

Indeed, it makes much more sense for Gio to have meant Daniel instead of Henry. He can't tolerate Henry, so for him to imply for Betty that she would inevitably end up with someone he despises, he would have to have said it with anger in his voice or something... The way I remember it, he said it in a "I know something you don't" kind of fun way.

It's HIM *swoon* Which means our detty prayers have been answered. Hallelujah!!:D

I'm going with no one. I think it was an ambiguous reference that there is only one guy for her, and it's someone she has yet to meet. If it had been a direct reference, I think Betty would have asked him who he thought the person was rather than shrugging it off.

The ambiguity idea sounds solid! Please be that.

Well after seeing the last episode it definitely isn't Henry, so that leaves Daniel (Betty could always end up with Matt, but Gio never knew him so that definitely isn't who he was talking about) Whether or not Betty ends up with Daniel, and I obviously REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY...hope she does, I do believe that is who Gio was talking about.

I stand corrected. Sad to see the series end, but WOW did those writers do a good job or what?! Amazing work, and I loved how they ended Betty's relationship with Daniel--to have them suddenly get together would have been too much--this also leaves enough room for people absolutely against Detty to say that dinner is a friendly dinner. Perfection!
