If Edward were to increase the amplitude on a spring and everything else remained constant, does period increase, decrease oder stay the same?

We both got stranded on an Island, we played foot ball with a coconut, and he hit me in the head with it. I woke up three days later under a straw hut, where he was cooking some coconut meat. I stood up slowly and beat him over the head with a banana. Of course it had no effect because it was a soft squishy banana. But inside my mind. He was hurt.
