Yes, it's dark but it was also something that gave Bloom a layer of depth by being the only survivor of her world and being the heir to a meaningless throne. Besides, it's really insulting because of how Musa's mom is dead and there's no bringing her back and Nabu is dead and there's no bringing him back to life because he's been replaced by some white dude for Layla. It's dark and mature but also showed a lot of character depth with Bloom and her having to learn to cope. It makes her come off as a Mary Sue that gets everything she wants. It's just bad writing to bring them back.
