FTWD S3 was arguably the best season of either show, but ohhh boy did that go downhill quick. I may hate-watch TWD half the time, but even that's better than the laughably stupid, unrecognizable dumpster fire FTWD has become.

I rage quit the show after Glenn and Abraham’s deaths but it still like it a lot more than FTWD. I thought FTWD would be about how the virus affected different areas but instead we got TWD only in LA and showing the beginning of it

^Those were the good ol' days. They literally skipped years worth of story and killed most of the original characters in order to force the crossover they claimed would never happen. It's The Morgan Show now.

^Season 1 is the only one I’ve seen all the way through. I only watched the first episode of season 2 before stopping. I stopped at first because I couldn’t get to any episodes but now it’s because I found out how dull it’s gotten

^I thought S1&2 were pretty boring too, but S3 was incredible. Then the new showrunners came in and ruined everything. But if you happen to get bored one day and have access to it, I highly recommend link - new location, lots of new characters, really picks up the pace. (It's all my FTWD rewatches consist of. It's basically a standalone series for me now.)

^i really liked season 1 because like I said I thought the show was going to be about different characters in different places and I enjoyed watching a couple of the eps where it all got crazy at first but then I got bored once the military came in

Basically I thought it was going to be the minisodes only as an actually show

Previously I wouldn't have hesitated to pick FTWD, but now I don't know how to pick. I loved seasons 1-3 of FTWD. They are some of my favourite tv ever. But seasons 4 and 5 have been appalling. As in, some of the worst tv I have ever seen.

But then I have never really liked a full season of TWD. I like certain characters and episodes, and TWD tends to have higher highs than FTWD, so those highs can sometimes be worth the intense boredom. And nothing in TWD has ever been as bad as seasons 4 and 5 of FTWD. But TWD really only floats my boat when it focuses on the characters I like...


So my rankings are:

TWD seasons 7,8 and 9

FTWD season 4a (first few episodes)

Everything is already pretty much said. FTWD S1-2-3 are great. S4-5 suck HARD. TWD has his ups and downs.
