I find her incredibly boring, whiny, and annoying. The book Elena was so much more interesting and fun, two qualities show Elena does not have in my opinion. That's why I like show Katherine better. She's so badass and awesome, and really refreshing from dullville.

i find that the book elena is such a b*tch. and i didnt like the book series that much. i found it sooooooooo boring. and plus i just cant stand book elena. i felt like she acted like she was so stuck up and miss everything. i found that tv elena has more of a heart. i knoe that book elena just wanted stefan before even getting to knoe him and talking to him like tv elena did. book elena wanted stefan and when stefan ignored elena at first she wanted him even more. ugh. i dont like characters like that. i perfer tv elena.

and plus i heard that they changed the elena for the tv show is b/c people would hate book elena. they wanted someone that people would like and mostly everyone likes tv elena.

I like Elena in the show i don't find her as boring as people are all saying she is. I find her like-able. I don't like the Elena in the books. I find she is a snobby b!tc#. I hate people who act like that. I actually stopped reading the books at the beginning cause i did not like her character.

I agree with you. Book Elena is soooooooo much better than show Elena. She's so much independent and bold than show Elena. I like the funner girls, and not the ones that are always goodie-two-shoes.

@minimew037: i watched it in one of the interviews wit julie plec, or read in a interview like rite when the show started, i need to go out and get the dvd though.

I like both but the book Elena was more fun, more bitchy and confident.

Elena is not boring or annoying, she's awesome. I like book Elena but I love show Elena, she's my favorite character.

I agree, the book elena was more bitchy and selfish at times. But i love Both of them. I don't think the show elena is whinny OR annoying. There both very strong people, and very lucky too. Yeah there different, but there the same person to me.

I liked book Elena better, but that doesn't mean I hate show Elena.

Its no secret that I dont like Elena. I havent read the books but hopefully I'll like her better in them.
