There were aspects of the flashpoint story-line that I liked. As in, I liked that the actual flashpoint universe was very much about Barry's individual emotional arc. Flashpoint in the comics is the catalyst for the New 52 in the comics (which funnily enough is a comics run which I dislike to be quite honest), and thus Flashpoint was really about the greater DC universe and less about Barry's own arc.

Having said that, the repercussions of Flashpoint (kind of like the New 52 lol) were sort of a mess? It was the cause of the show going very dark; Todd Helbing himself can't explain the whole Savitar thing (i.e., if Iris's death is the origin point for Savitar's creation, when did she originally die and who killed her, thereby causing Savitar to be created? Her death must be the origin point, because if she doesn't die, Savitar is never born. At the same time, it's a closed loop. We don't even know if Savitar or the time remnant who becomes Savitar came first.) And this is the issue, right here. Iris is hugely integral to Barry's superheroism, so having the Save Iris story-line, which eventually really became Save Barry Allen story-line (and the only good part of the Save Barry Allen SL is that Iris got to save him), could have had maximum impact. She is the person most precious and important to Barry. BUT, it's a double-edged sword, because the season became ridiculously dark as a result, and I just... it was way too much, especially by the time the Savitar reveal came around. Most people had guessed Savitar was either Flashpoint!Barry or TR!Barry, so it was not much of a surprise, but it came way too late in the game. And it added a further dampener on the season.
Also, the Killer Frost story-line, the B-plot line of the season, was another repercussion of Flashpoint that was a mess. Why is KF evil, when Caitlin Snow is a sweetheart? The writing never quite lends itself to the idea that Killer Frost alters Caitlin's brain chemistry- Cisco calls them the same person in 3x21 and she seems to be able to switch KF on and off, but how can they be the same person? Further, how come Caitlin sometimes using her powers sets off KF (i.e., in 3x07 and 3x12), but at other times it did not (i.e., 3x09, when she makes it snow)? And it's extremely problematic that Barry, Cisco, and Wally are heroes with superpowers, because of course they would be, as they were heroes while human, but Caitlin, a female, is automatically branded as a villain, because her "poor female brain can't handle KF". It's grossly misogynistic, and Caitlin didn't get an ounce of agency until the very end.

And it's just confusing. Time travel in the comics is problematic enough, but for general viewers, I'm sure seeing the writers really tie themselves into knots re time travel was just exhausting. No wonder Helbing announced that they're not doing time travel at all in season 4.
So yeah, Flashpoint, the episode, was honestly good on its own imo, but it's the overall story-line that drove the season's problems that was terribly problematic. So, I guess "it was okay" sums up my feelings, with an addendum that my feelings about it are slightly more complicated lol.
