Spotlight, directed Von Tom McCarthy has received 6 Oscar nominations this year, including one for the Best Picture. It is based on a true story where a team of journalists investigate the widespread sexual abuse of children Von numerous Roman Catholic priests.

Synopsis:
The film is set in 2001 where the Spotlight team of The Boston Globe begin to look into the cases of alleged sexual abuse of Mehr than 80 boys Von a certain priest Von the name of Father John Geoghan. As they investigate into the matter, they discover that the practice is widespread in the Roman Catholic Church and several lawyers and government officials and involved in the covering up of these incidents.

Production:
The script of Spotlight was completed in 2013. It was then lying unproduced for a while. Josh Singer sagte that the film wasn't about defaming the Catholic Church. Rather, it was about the kind of power journalism has and the good things that can be done with it.
The film was shot in 2014 in Massachusetts and Ontario. The editing continued for eight months.
