Opportunity of a Lifetime chapter 5
After playing a round of pool which I Lost terribly in, it was time for bed.
The Weiter morning I had the worst wake up call-slash-prank ever. The guys came into my room with a metal pot and a spoon, making as much noisy as possible. I am pretty sure of that. I just kind of rolled over and pulled my kissen over my head.
Hey! Wake up! Leo said.
I'll be up in few. I mumbled.
If Du don't, we're going to throw Du in the pool! Jake warned.
They wouldn't do that to me! I thought. I am so jet lagged. I just needed some Mehr sleep. I kept thinking.
Okay, Jake warned you. Cam said.
Weiter thing I know, I am being thrown over someones shoulder. I didn't fight back.
Rivers had me thrown over his shoulder and was walking really fast towards the pool. I was kinda of scared. I kept thinking wonder if Rivers doesn't throw me far enough into the pool and I hit my head. I just kept thinking. I almost started to panic but then I thought why would I panic? I'm not scared of the water. I know it's a deep pool and that I'll be fine.
When Rivers walked outside it was super bright. I had my eyes closed and it still seemed way to bright.
Wake up, Loryn! Rivers said.
I swear Rivers if Du throw me into this pool, this will be the longest Jahr of your life. I threatened.
Rivers stopped and set me down in the grass.
That's no fun! Leo sagte sarcastically.
Whatever. I sagte giving him an evil look.
Okay I'm going surfing. Jake sagte as he walked past me.
I went and changed into my bathing suit and went and grabbed my surfboard. The waves were huge to me. I hadn't ever surfed big waves like these. These waves were like 7 foot and I have only surfed in like 3 foot mush. I stood on the strand for a Minute oder two and then I paddled out into the line up. It seemed like it took me for forever to paddle out but when I finally made it I was exhausted. When it was my turn to go I paddled and paddled but when the wave finally came, I backed out. I was freaking out over how big the waves were.
Come on, Loryn. That wave was the best one out of the set! Jake yelled.
I didn't say anything back. I just paddled back into the line up. I was determined to go on the Weiter wave though.
I saw, what look liked a good wave so I started paddling. I paddled harder and harder until the wave picked me up. I dropped in and pearled. The nose of my board went under water and I fell forwards. It was the scariest thing in my life I had never pearled on my board before. When I feel forwards I hit the sandy rocky bottom hard. When I finally able to resurface I inhaled a big breath and prepared for the Weiter wave that was about to crash on me. When the wave crashed on oben, nach oben of me, I hit the rocks hard, then all of the sudden I felt my leash get caught in between two rocks. I couldn't surface. I stayed under what felt a lifetime. I had a buckle on my leash and I couldn't get it to come undone. I knew if I started to panic I would never make it so I tried to calm myself down. I kept feeling the waves just crash down on oben, nach oben of me. I just kept thinking if I stop moving than I will have a better air supply so I didn't move. I just floated and let the ocean Bewegen me. Finally I saw someone in front of me. I was getting dizzy like and my vision was blurry so I couldn't tell who it was. My eyes started closing and I couldnt stop them.
Jake's POV
When I saw Loryn nose dive into the water I had a feeling in my gut that something was going to be terribly wrong. As soon as she surfaced I felt some relief but when she had to go back under because of the waves I had a feeling that she wasn't going to come back up. I yelled at the girls to go get Bec and Gary and then me and guys went searching for Loryn. When I saw her surfboard sticking up in the air I knew she was hung up in the rocks and couldn't get out. I was worried. Loryn had been underwater for a little bit now. I was scared that she wasn't going to... I couldn't finish the sentence in my head. One thought like that can mess Du up.
When I got to Loryn she wasn't moving. She was just staring into Weltraum oder something. She had no emotion on her face and t scared me a lot because Loryn has shown emotion a lot here. She was always smiling and laughing. Her smile was so adorable. I tried to undo Loryn's leash but I couldn't so I uncoupled my messer from my pocket and cute the leash off. Von now Loryn had blacked out from the lack of oxygen. I towed her to shore. Gary and Bec were both standing on the strand and Bec was on the phone I'm guessing calling an ambulance. When Gary saw me pulling Loryn in her came swimming up. Gary and I were both towing her to ufer now. When we got to ufer I started CPR right away. My dad was a lifeguard down at Bondi strand so I knew CPR and advance some advanced medical stuff that he had taught me.
Breathe Loryn. I sagte as I was giving her CPR.
Come on! I yelled.
Right then Loryn opened her eyes and coughed up water.
Thankfully I only had to do CPR twice to get her to start breathing again.
Bec and Gary came riding up in mule/golf car thing with the EMT's. They put an oxygen mask on Loryn and were asking her simple question. Then they lauded her on a backboard picked her up and put her on the back of the maultier and rode to the ambulance. That was the last time I had seen her until now.....
