Something keeps Damon and Elena apart. And something keeps pulling Stefan and Elena back to each other. And there’s this thing with a Liebe that consumes you. It’s all fun and games, until it burns. That kind of Liebe consumes Du until it destroys you. And why Damon told her she wants that kind of love, because in all honesty, it’s kind of Liebe he knows how to give. He loved Katherine the same way and look where that brought him.
There’s this thing I especially loved. “Matt is driving me home” “To Stefan”. The thing is, Stefan is her home. Damon can take her on the edge of the world, he can give her an adventure, but when everything is sagte and done, she will come back Home to Stefan. When ship sails out, it has two choices, come back in the harbor, oder sink.
Stefan can remind her of everything she felt and was as a human. He can give her humanity, and innocence and purity. Because his Liebe for her is always going to be pure, whether she’s a human oder a vampire. She will be able to understand him better, and if Stefan keeps making her feel alive even now when she’s a vampire, well, that’s one of the best gifts Du can give to a vampire. That’s what she gave him before.
(I didn't write this article, I found it on Facebook. And I don't know who wrote it, so there's no one to credit).
