Three Katzen paced toward the Spirit baum at the edge of their territory. It lay on their border with other Clans and Katzen went their to communicate with StarClan. In the lead was Petalbreeze, the medicine cat, behind her were the figures of Spiritstar, and her deputy Sandstorm. Petalbreeze stopped the Katzen with a flick of her tail as she reached the Spirit Tree. She stint the air.
"Another Clan are here." she announced, settling herself down on a nearby rock.
Spiritstar sighed. "We'll have to wait then."
Both Katzen looked at Sandstorm, as if to see her reaction. She had an obvious look of hatred on her face. It wasn't often Du could read her expression so easily.
"We have to wait, Sandstorm." sagte Spiritstar.
Sandstorm remained quiet and it was silent for a while. "I know." she sagte at last. "It's not that."
"Then what?" queried Petalbreeze and Spiritstar at one time.
"I had a dream... from StarClan." admitted Sandstorm.
The two other Katzen just stared at her. It was just a leader oder medicine cat that got dreams from StarClan.
"Are Du sure it was from StarClan?" asked Petalbreeze.
"Positive." Sandstorm said. "My mother left a message." Sandstorm's mother was a formidable warrior who had been killed in a battle when Sandstorm was only a few days old. Her and her sister Frozenstorm had then been cared for Von their aunt Greenleaf.
"Earthpelt?"
Spiritstar spoke next. "It's understandable. You're her daughter!"
"Frozenstorm didn't get spoken to...at least I don't think so."
"What did Earthpelt say to you?" asked Petalbreeze.
"Well..." began Sandstorm. "I was in this dark place in the dream and it was quiet until this cat started to talk. I couldn't see her, but I could hear her and smell her distinctive scent - it still lingers in my nose from when I was born. She sagte this thing that didn't make any sense. That's why we're here. I'm not aloud to tell Du what I was told, so I thought maybe you'd be told yourself."
"How can't Du tell us?" queried Spiritstar.
"I've sagte too much already!" claimed Sandstorm and started to leg it through the forest back to camp, leaving Spiritstar and Petalbreeze with dozens of questions.
