Kerry Breanna Mangel was a fictional character in the Network Ten soap opera Neighbours, played Von child actress Claudine Henningsen.[1]
Kerry, named after her late grandmother, was born to Sky Mangel (played Von Stephanie McIntosh) on 31 October 2006. Shortly after her birth, she was kidnapped from the hospital, which had been set alight Von Teresa Cammeniti (Hannah Greenwood). Teresa was at first suspected to be the abductor, but the blame then shifted to stachelrochen, stingray Timmins (Ben Nicholas), who was then believed to be the baby's father. It was later revealed that Stingray's brother, Dylan (Damien Bodie) kidnapped Kerry. During the time that Dylan had Kerry in his possession, he bonded with her and was sure that she was his daughter. Sky agreed to a paternity test after Dr. Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) told her that Dylan might be the father. Karl originally sagte that Dylan could not be the father because the baby appeared to not be developed enough on ultrasound scans for it to have been conceived when Dylan and Sky last slept together.
Kerry's great-grandfather, Harold Bishop (Ian Smith), became very overprotective of baby Kerry, believing that her parents, Sky and Dylan, were not capable of looking after the baby themselves. However, when Harold hurt himself and Kerry almost got hit Von a car but was saved Von Ringo Brown (Sam Clark) and when Harold's car was stolen with Kerry inside, Harold was uncharacteristically dishonest, telling them that he was carjacked. This made him realise that Sky and Dylan were good parents after all. Kerry was diagnosed with lymphoid leukaemia and needed to undergo a bone marrow transplant from a suitable donor. It was found that although both stachelrochen, stingray and Dylan have matching bone marrow to Kerry, only Stingray's was suitable for donation as Dylan's blood carried toxins from the time he was exposed to chemical waste in the wetlands as result of the Affirmacon Scandal while he and Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) were in a partnership. An angry Dylan then confronted Paul and accused him of being the cause of the leukemia. Kerry's uncle, Stingray, underwent surgery in order to donate his bone marrow, and while the operation was successful, stachelrochen, stingray died at his mother Janelle's (Nell Feeney) birthday party days later. On Friday 3 August Kerry left Ramsay straße with Sky and Boyd Hoyland so that she could get to know her father
