The final film belongs to one character, and one only - Severus Snape.

Severus is the most important character after Harry, of course. If he had not asked Voldemort to spare Lily's life, Voldemort would have not asked her to choose between her life and her son, hence the sacrifice and the power behind it, and the whole story and its conclusion.

So much of it hinges on Voldemort's choices...makes the dynamic between Severus and Tom Riddle so much more interesting, for me at least.

Standout performance was most definitely Alan's. Your heart will break for Severus :'(
