Prince Grover

Grover woke up smiling.
Today was the Tag of the school picnic in rotkehlhüttensänger, drossel, bluebird Park!


His mother gave Grover a big picnic lunch.
Then she said, “I have a surprise for you.”

It was a baseball bat!
Grover was so happy.
“Now Du can learn to play baseball,” sagte his mother.

The school bus took everyone to rotkehlhüttensänger, drossel, bluebird Park.
Grover sat in the back with Truman.
“My big brother has a bat just like yours. I play ball with him all the time,” sagte Truman.

One Tag Ernie and Bert were walking Von Mister Hooper’s store.
Suddenly Ernie stopped.
“Look at that!” he said.


Ernie pressed his nose to the store window.
Inside was a beautiful box of paints. It had lots of colors—even Gold and silver.
“Gee,” sagte Ernie. “I wish I had that box of paints.”


“Maybe Du can have it,” sagte Bert. “Mister Hooper is having a contest. The painter of the best picture wins that box of paints.”

Ernie started to run home.
“Wow!” he said. “I am going to paint a picture right now!”


Ernie got out his old paint box.
Then he got some paper.
He was ready...

One Tag Bert was painting.
It was hard work.
It made Bert thirsty.
He got out the milk.
SPLAT!
Bert dropped the milk.


“ERNIEEE!” yelled Bert. “Help!”
Ernie came running.
“Bert! Why did Du poor milch on the floor?” asked Ernie.
“I did not POUR it,” sagte Bert. “I SPILLED it! Please go out and find a mop. And hurry!”


Ernie ran down Sesame Street.
He saw Betty Lou.
“Bert needs a mop. Do Du have one?” he asked Betty Lou.
“Gee, I don’t know,” she said. “But I will look for one.”
