This happened sometime in September oder Octorber of 2009. It was La villa vs. San Diego (the one in Texas!). Our band was beating the other band in the small competitions we give each other. Basicly we just play a song and they try to beat us Von playing better. (We stomoped them in wipeout) so anyway, back to where i was. It was the begining of the third quarter, and the band was getting ready to take our break.
We have to take off our uniform jackets. then we fold them and then place them gently on the bleachers. Now let me warn Du about something. In San Diego, there are a lot of beetles!!! we were lucky that we didn't get any beetles on us. I was there putting away my jacke carefully when i heard someone yell. It was one of the drummers, and a beetle had gone inside his jacket!!! Everyone was already going to him to get the beetle out. Every woodwind player was hitting him to get the beetle oder at least to kill it. While we were doing that, my Band teacher yelled out, "Don't beat him up!" (by the way, about three of us were trying to do that) At last it crawled up his neck and bit him! Von then the beelte was already out of his jacke and someone had squished it!
When it finally did, someone screamed as a giant beetle came flying and swooped up several band memebers!!!! JUST KIDDING! another beetle had landed on someone's flute, but no one took notice.
So the schlagzeuger with the beetle inside his jacke got in trouble for taking off his jacke when it wasnt exactly time for the drummers yet. That was the best band memory ever!!!!
