*Brook's POV*

The vampire armies were growing stronger. . . And so my father wanted us to have strong relationships with our sister tribes. . .
I was on a bank beside the Little River Canyon, picking herbs and putting them in my hand-wooven basket that I had made as a child.
I was completely caught up in my thoughts that I accidentally pricked my finger on a sharp twig laying in the grass.
I lifted my hand to my face and examined the small puncture on my index finger. Great, it would probably become infected. . .
Just then, a schnell, swift breeze whipped up and...

Previously on Ch.20:

"You were only out six hours Bella," he said, but then re-traced his steps, "I'm Carlisle, Edward and Alice's father, and this is my wife, Esme."
I looked at the two of them, they both reminded me of my father and mother.
"Hello," I greeted them.

Now, Ch.21:

They smiled warmly at me.
"Now, can Du tell us what happened to you?" Edward asked me, and I turned to look at him. He was strangely upset.
What could I tell them that would seem, well, human? I couldn't...

With my very last strength, I managed to heal my broken ribs, but then I was immediately exhausted, and I blacked out. Right there, with five Vampire present before me.

The Weiter thing I knew was that I was attached to a herz monitor, and that only four Vampire were present with me. I knew two of them were Edward and Alice, but the other two's scent I didn't recognize.
