D_Mastermind Thank you for sharing this. I must say I'm a bit jealous. I'd love to have seen him perform, but unfortunately he is no longer with us. When and where did you see him? Did you get to talk to him?

TheCountess You're quite welcome! I feel quite fortunate to have both seen and met him. :D The show was in the late 70's or early 80's in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I can't remember the name of where he performed though. (If I ever find the exact details, I'll add them later.) There were a number of fans who wanted to meet him after the show, and he met all of us with warmth and a big smile. I think I just thanked him for his awesome performance, and asked if he would sign 2 of my LPs. I read or heard something once that Jimi Hendrix said. If I remember correctly, someone asked him what it was like to be the best, and he said something like "go ask Rory Gallagher". Those are two greats we lost way too soon. :(
