Hmm, (without thinking of the second movie) i think that both of them love each other but i think a little bit more john because pocahontas did not follow him.

I truly think they both did love each other. Just because their lives changed in the second movie and they moved on doesn't mean their love wasn't real or that Pocahontas didn't love him enough. First love isn't necessary the only love of your life, but it is always great and genuin like Poca & Smith where. I believe that Smith maybe fall for her a little bit more though.

he risked his life for her dad and she did not care

She definitely saved his life, and that was awesome. Their love for each other is what shut down the conflict between the settlers and her tribe. He also risked his life to save her dad as well--he could have also done it by calling out for Pocahontas's dad to duck for safety and cover when he saw what Ratcliffe was up to at the battlefield (and he and Pocahontas doing the same thing for their own safety).
