if paul is a mortal who cant see through the mist, how come he could see mrs. o leary when percy came back to the apartment?

i think chiron is the one who controls the mist because in the first book when percy was at yancy and he overheard "Mr, Brunner" and grover talking, chiron sagte that WE put mist over the students eyes. He sagte that like he did that himself.

oder maybe it was just a mistake.....or maybe the mist was just not strong and so he saw her because the lady in the arch saw the thing because she was very close i guess

i know he saw her because he was so amazed at the monter. he also petted her alot. he knew she was big because he didnt know what she was at first. he sagte who put this Wand of pelz in the doorway?

I agree with that. Lots of mortals got creeped out when they saw the battle. And at the Arch. If Du know what you're looking for, I think it's a little easier. Paul was told about the whole otherworldy thing already.
