I love his character... always have. Even back in his "evil" days, he was the character that I loved to hate. I just think he brings so much heart to this show, especially these days when it's really lacking depth, and the "old school" OTH feel. He just makes everything, and everyone more interesting when he's on screen. So ofcourse I don't want his character to die.

However, I do think that it's a genius ending for him, and for the show. Him finally reaching redemption, and forgiveness by risking his life for his son.... just genius. It's bound to be a heartbreaking, emotional moment and ending for all of us. I almost cried last night, and he hasn't even died yet! So as much as I love Dan, I do think his death a great move for the show.

No. I don't really. I love to hate him and for him to end with a shot in the back after saving Nathan..just seems wrong and his death will kill Jamie. But in a way if it has to be some one it better be Dan.

I feel he died, his last words to Nathan were like "goodbye". Gooosh I love Dan! last episode was really sad to me ;( wish he survived...
