Dan had a reason for acting the way he did, in his own twisted mind all he wanted what was best for Nathan. Victoria's just feeding off the success of Brooke.

I actually think they are both as bad...

Dan loved Nathan, which is why he pushed him so hard and Dan even treated Lucas better than Victoria treats Brooke. Victoria makes it seem like Brooke would be nothing without her, but I am sure Brooke will prove her wrong.

Dan mzay of done some horid stuff, but he's always loved Nathan/Lucas even though he may ot of shown it. But Victoria's never been there for Brooke or cared.

I think Victoria is just fresh on all of our minds. I think that if Victoria was there a few seasons ago (when Dan was around) it would have been more of a tie.

I think they're both really bad in different ways... but pretty equally bad.

I think Dan is a very bad parent because actually he always said that he would change but he didn't and he tried to kill Lucas on season 3 because he thought that he tried to kill him.
Victoria wouldn't be able to kill her daughter to my mind

Dan adds great drama to the show, I hate Victoria.

Dan did/does love both his boys - if not only a little and did always want to try and help them be better - especially nathan - which is why he pushed him.

BUT Victoria...she really has no redeeming qualities - she doesn't even want Brooke to be better - it's like Brooke didn't rank high enough in Victoria's life to care if she was better!

I HATE that bitch - she was really at her worst with her speech to Rachel - i was just like "why don't you die - it'd be better for everyone!"

As much as Dan sucks, he really does love both Nathan and Lucas. He pushed Nathan as hard as he did because he knew nathan could be great(and turns out he was right lol). As for Victoria she clearly doesn't love Brooke the only reason she even spoke to her was because of clothes over bros.

UNLIKE Victoria - Peyton + Rachel have ALWAYS been around - Victoria's the one who showed up when her daughter suddenly got rich and famous!

brooke's mom was just never around. dan did a LOT more damage being around. He was a lying, manipulative, thieving, belittling murder.

^^ BUT i'm sure IF Victoria HAD been around - ie if she had wanted Brooke to be as great as Dan wanted Nathan to be - i think she would have done a hella lot more damage!!
