Ok to me peyt was just trying to avoid her past mistake by being honest w/ brooke. All she did was tell Brooke about her feelings and yes Brooke did have a right to be mad, but she had no right to slap her! Part of the reason why Brooke was so mad at Peyton in season 1 was because she wasn't honest! And then Brooke tells her she wants her to "always be honest with each other" (or something to that affect) so that is what Peyton does with the confession. Brooke was mad because she wasn't honest the first time so she decided to be honest the second time. How is that wrong? You know Brooke can't have it both ways.

seriously u guys think she was being honest...honest my foot....what was brooke meant to do with that information......she could have confide in haley first and get a advice on how to go about her feeling....am sorry ...but was brooke meant to sit there and say everything was ok...would she not get scared again that history was about to repeat itself.....if i remember clearly after the shoot out, brooke went to payton and explain that she was scared that bout of them where there together and her being outside and that she didn't want to get hurt again...peyton promised she wouldn't hurt her again and this was after she kissed lucas.....so ok she was honest with brooke...what happens next...what was brooke meant to do....hug her and tell her to go for it.....gosh...i don't understand what she sud have done....she could have at least tell someone else first.....i think it was pretty inconsiderate of her..but that just me...

coming to the slap.....a bit extreme but i probably wud have done the same...peyton wanted to turn the situation around on her.....'u said it urself that u didn't miss him'.....gosh if it was me, i would have left her handicaped...god the chick of her.....i mean we girls say stuff we don't mean to how friends....i jus realised that peyton doesn't really know brooke at all......cause if she knew her, she'd know she was only joking ad missing him deeply but just to proud to admit it...and for her to try to use that...that was jus beyond low...and she deserved more dan a slap.....if brooke did nothing i would have been so upset and find the show unrealistic.

she should have kept her big mouth shut and just advoid the feelings speaking from experience since i have really liked a friends boyfriend you shouldn't act on those feelings and definately not tell your friend considering it will just mess up her relationship with you and her boyfriend, a true friend would put her friend before herself and if that means letting your friend continue dating the person you may love so be it

Of course brooke wouldn't find it funny that would be stupid and yes she would be hurt, but u know what they say "The truth hurts".And by the way brooke acted it's true it really does. and It's not fair to peyton that First she lies and it is wrong and then she is honest and she is still wrong??? I really don't get u guys???

Now Brooke repeatedly told Peyton that she wants her to be honest and not do what Peyton does and put a smile on and lie to her face but after the confession she asks why didn't she just keep this information to herself? Do see the contradiction here? She wants Peyton to be honest and she is but then changes her mind after she finds out the truth? You have to understand this isn't the real issue here, being honest or not because the real issue is Peyton and Brooke's insecurity regarding her. It would not have matted if or when Peyton told her about her feelings for Lucas or if Brooke found out some other way because Brooke would have decided to hate her regardless. It wouldn't have mattered if Brucas broke up and then Brooke found out the truth after the fact because she would question everything her and Lucas had and she would have known about the kiss in the library and thought it was all happening again like in season one and she would blame Peyton for everything that went wrong in her relationship. She would feel betrayed regardless and she would have been devastated regardless. If peyton kept it and then out of nowhere it slips out brooke would be more mad then when she confess it, She would be like "Why weren't you being honest with me i told you we should always be honest w/ eachother" and then i know for sure u guys would be like "Peyton should've been honest with brooke and told brooke her feelings instead of hiding&lying about it" It would have been the same reaction all the way around. So, for all those saying that some things are better left unsaid then u don't unerstand that will only make a situation worse, or cause more pain. And some ppl would say "Peyton should have told brooke at the right time" Well to be honest..was there ever a right time to tell her?? NO!....Time makes NO difference at all. If anything waiting makes the confession WORSE. Look at the letter drama that BP had in S2 if u want an example.


As for Peyton, she confessed because she had to. She knew what the likely outcome would be, Brooke hating her but she didn't have any other choice. If she kept it a secret and Brooke later found out Brooke would have hated her. If she told her, then Brooke still would have hated her so Peyton had to pick the right choice. She knew Part of the reason Brooke was so mad at her the first time was because she lied to her and she knew as a best friend that was wrong so instead she chose to be honest like any good best friend would do. She had to do what was right by her and was right for her friendship with Brooke. She would rather lose her best friend while being honest instead of losing her because she lied. Peyton did the only thing she could do in the situation.

The slap...Ok we are never gonna agree..so i guess we can just drop it...

Brooke asked Peyton right after her and Lucas got together if she was okay with them being together but Peyton lied and said she was when deep down she wasn't because she was in love with Lucas. Peyton should have been honest right then and there, told brooke the truth but she chose not to because as Peyton said "Brooke deserves to be happy."

She does the same in S4...well actually brucas weren't 2gether & brooke didn't have that much feelings for luke anymore, but peyt was still willing to put her feelings aside for brooke's sake. Like what reachel said:

Rachel (to Brooke): Okay, let me get this straight. You don't have feelings for Lucas anymore, Peyton does, but she's willing to hide those feelings if you asked her to. Sounds like a pretty great friend to me.

And She told Lucas that if Brooke doesnt want him to talk to her than he should listen to her. And when Peyton found out that Brooke might be pregnant she told Lucas to go talk to her and that if she is pregnant than he should be there for her, even if it means that she would lose him for good. U see She proved over and over again that she would always put Brooke above Lucas & herself. Yes she didn't follow this for a time in season one and that was a grave mistake but in the end she still put her above the love of her life. Now I am going to put one more quote and it is from episode 408:

Brooke: "You are sleeping in Lucas' bed why haven't you told him how you feel?"
Peyton: "Brooke I told you I was not going to say anything to Lucas until it was over between the two of you so yes if you would have moved on I probably would have said something by now but you haven't dated anybody since Lucas."
Brooke: "You should have said something when you had the chance."
Peyton: "Well it doesn't matter now does it, it looks like you two are getting back together."
Brooke: "I was mad at you when I asked him to come with me tonight."
Peyton: "So you invited him out of spite?"
Brooke: "No not at first but now I don't know anymore."

This conversation shows two things. One: Peyton once again puts Brooke first. She always thinks of her and she meant what she said when she confessed and was honest and selfless. Two: Brooke didn't believe Peyton when she confessed that she wouldn't act on her feelings because one of Brooke's biggest insecurities in Peyton.

It wasn't wrong for Peyton to tell her that but it's how everything got together at that point and mostly, what she did before telling her.
