Because she doesn't have any guts to do it. She was just being cocky about planing to kill Cora.

I really don't think she has the guts to do so. She's Snow lady of morals.

I think her morals died when she figured out Cora murdered Snow's mother.

She lacks the courage and in the end took the coward way out by manipulating Regina to unknowingly kill her own mother.

I don't know if she originally planned to have Gina do her dirty work or if she just came up with it sper of the moment when Gina found her. I like to think it was the latter because what she did was sooo unessasarally cruel and very unlike Snow. If she had had to do it herself, look Cora in the eye and kill her in cold blood, I don't think she would have been able to go though with it. After all she instantly regretted giving the heart to Gina.

I think that she planned to have Regina do it all along.

I think Snow did the brave thing: killed the bigger evil. And yes, she would have done it herself. We've all seen her determined to kill Cora since the last episode. It is not the lack of courage that made her hand tremble when making her choice, it was her pure heart struggling to find another way. There was no other way.

@Sherlock I kind of have to agree. Who's to say that if she got out without being caught she would've done it herself?

@claudia She did not kill the greater evil, she had someone else do it for her. That's like paying someone to do your homework or having someone do an art project for you and taking the credit. Yeah, she caused it, no she wasn't brave enough to preform the action herself. And her 'pure' heart told her that it was any less evil to make someone else (her target's own daughter) carry out her dark desire for her? I can come up with two more ways; she could've not cursed Cora's heart at all and give it to Gina. She could've came up with some excuse as to why she was in the vault.

Again: If Gina hadn't caught her with the heart, Snow would have put it herself back in Cora and do the job herself. Actually she was a pretty smart "villain" here. She didn't abandon her plan because gina caught her, she just changed it.

I feel like Snow did something good here. She gave Cora her heart and cora felt love again and was redeemed. If she hadn't done this cora would have become the Dark One, would have killed hundreds of innocent people. Plus: as it was cora didn't truly love her daughter. She DID pick the dagger over her.

Snow's still good. She did a good deed for everyone. But I'm afraid gina is too blind to see it.

Who's to say that if she got out without being caught she would've done it herself? She still may (or may not have) had someone else do it for her. I didn't say she wasn't smart about it, I was saying that there were other ways.

Of course Gina is going to be 'blind' to it, that was her mother, the one who raised her, the one who took care of her, and the only person in Storybrook to even care for her or spend time with her. I'd be mad to if someone tricked me into killing my own mom!

Snow DID say she was going to kill Cora since the last episode.

Gina DID pay someone to kill her mother some time ago.

Before we continue I think we should settle our issues on the other polls, as we may or may not be getting somewhere.

I think she'd have tried to do it herself, but I'm not sure if she'd have been able to get close enough to Cora without Cora stopping/killing her.
