ICYMI: Nina Dobrev Had The Most Epic Holiday Break EVER! 

Which of the following is your idea of a dream getaway: Snowboarding in Utah or splashing around the crystal-clear waters of Hawaii? Well, if you’re Nina Dobrev, you don’t have to choose between two spectacular adventures; you get to enjoy the best of both worlds!

actress flew out to Park City, where she kicked off her holiday break by snuggling up to her

star boyfriend, Austin Stowell, and hitting the snowy slopes. While in her self-proclaimed “happy place,” she went shredding, hung out with her family and friends, and celebrated her beau’s 31st birthday.

And after Christmas passed? Nina did not slow down one bit! Instead of sleeping away the rest of her week, the brunette beauty and a group of her closest pals escaped to Hawaii, where they participated in a series of extreme activities. From diving out of planes to striking complex yoga moves on the beach to swimming with sharks, Nina and her BFFs definitely proved they’re not only free spirits, but total daredevils at heart.

First, Nina went skydiving and sent “love and positivity from the top of the world“:

“Jumping into the new year. Jumping out of Air Planes. Jumping from cold to hot weather. Jumping from one @Airbnb to another,” she captioned the photo below, which was snapped right after their high-adrenaline excursion. “Can’t wait for all the adventures to come in 2016! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!”

Then, ever the enthusiastic gymnast, she flaunted her remarkable strength and flexibility — all while basking in the sun. Here she is demonstrating an impressive handstand:

And soon after? She hit the ocean with her friends and a bunch of giant, carnivorous fish with super sharp teeth. No big deal. “We free dived with 22 wild sharks this morning and it was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!” she raved on her official Instagram account. “Help us save these beautiful creatures! More underwater pictures to come!!!!”

Wow – talk about living life to the fullest! It takes a lot of courage to participate in these sorts of thrill-seeking events, which makes Nina even more of an inspiration than she already is. She isn’t afraid to take chances and indulge in some well-deserved fun — both in her career and travels — and it seems to pay off in unforgettable memories.
