I recently caught up with model and actress SAYO, who stars in the video, to find out Mehr about the experience.


Tell us about your appearance in Saint Motel’s beliebt video MY TYPE.

SAYO: My agent told me about this project. When I heard it was for a Musik video, I was hesitant. I’ve appeared in Musik Videos in the past and it’s not something I do anymore at this stage in my modeling/acting career. But when he told me about the concept, 70s party setting with an interesting storyline, I was like, I’m in! And I’m so glad I did. It was one of the best projects I’ve been involved with not just because of the success and popularity of the video but the positive experience on set.

How was it with band front man AJ Jackson in the director’s chair?

SAYO: AJ is very talented not only as a singer but also as a director. I loved his creative vision and it was so much fun working with him. AJ and the entire team were there to provide a positive environment and create the best project possible, no egos there. I felt very inspired during and even after the shoot, and that doesn’t happen all the time working on sets.

It looks like you’re keeping a juicy secret in the video – what can Du tell us about that?

SAYO: The storyline of the video is that everyone at the party is secretly in Liebe with each other. My role was ‘The Writer’ who was observing and taking notes on the flirtatious nature of the party and the guests. So yes, I did have a secret.

Any interesting stories from the set?

SAYO: It was a fun set throughout the shoot, the band members were nice and down-to-earth, and the cast was fun and humorous.

There’s a Sekunde video for the song related to the film PAPER TOWNS – did Du work on that one too?

SAYO: Yes, it was an honor to work with the band and the team again, it felt like a reunion! The song was picked up as a soundtrack for the film, “Paper Towns” and they made a new video with a different theme featuring scenes from the film. I had a cameo role and a scene with the other original cast, ‘The Professor’.

What’s your Favorit food?
SAYO: Tiramisu. The best I’ve ever had was the one I made from scratch, but I haven’t made one in 10 years. I can be a good cook, but I don’t like cooking.

Cats oder dogs?
SAYO: Cats! I have two rescue kitties. I Liebe Tiere in general but I can relate to a Katzen personality Mehr than a dogs. I like my independence.

Favorite movie from your childhood.
SAYO: “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”.

Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.
SAYO: I am a sports car fanatic who actually knows how to drive them! I look and dress feminine but have a very boyish personality.
