Nightfall Chapter 25: Vamp Lair Meets wolf höhle, den (Nessie's POV)
A/N: I will be posting pics of the house and the Babys rooms in the image section of my club "Love the Cullens". This way Du guys can use your imaginations while Lesen and see them on your own before I Zeigen Du how I saw them :)
Aunt Alice half dragged me throughout the forest .We ran for a bit longer than I anticipated. When we finally stopped she clamped one of her hands over my eyes, as Jake finally caught up to me and snaked his arms around my waist.
“Ok, so we decided to build directly on the halfway point between Forks and La Push so that Du are close to both of your families and for added privacy since the pups can’t control themselves yet.” Jake growled and aunt Alice’s peals of laughter silenced him. “Chill out dog. Anywhoo I am going to let Du open your eyes, I cannot wait to see what Du think!” She squealed with laughter and as she withdrew her hand I looked on in confusion. All I saw were tons of trees, their beautiful reds, oranges and yellows were breathtaking.
“Um, Aunt Alice, I don’t see anything.” She smiled widely.
“I know isn’t it great? Total privacy!” She grabbed my hand and we flew down a dirt path that led to a modern looking cabin. I gasped at the sight and Jake sucked in a breath.
“Oh, Aunt Alice,” I gushed.
“Do Du like it?” She asked nervously. I nodded my head and slowly inched my way closer to the house as she rambled on.
“Esme and I designed this totally differently than the cottage for your parents. Du are like your aunt Rose in the sense that Du like big houses and it works out that we did it that way because with all the kids Du have Du totally need something this size. I know that Du like modern and Jake is a rustic lumberjack type- it is a fusion of two great things- an unusual combination like the two of you,” he snorted at that.
“Thanks Alice.” Jake sagte dryly as she flitted to his side and kissed his cheek.
“Ma certo!” Hearing my aunt tell Jake “but of course” in Italian sent shivers down my spine at the slight memory of the Volturi. I loved all things Italian but I always had this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach when I was around any aspect of that culture- like a horrible after taste, guilty Von association I guess. Aunt Alice was at my side holding my hand in Sekunden as she dragged me to the house.
“So Du have a three car garage which actually takes up the Weltraum of a basement so Du can keep your Audi, buy a Fußball mom transporter, van and keep Jake’s Ducati here and away from Emmett.” We both snorted at her and she was indifferent to our reactions as she led us into the house like a tour guide. As she blabbered on about the house I explored it on my own.
The walls of the house were basically all windows much like my grandparents house. Aunt Alice knew how much I loved anything sparkly so the fact that my house would be a Quelle of sunshine on the few days in Forks that it was sunny was exciting. As I perused each room I found a piece of each of my family members they had truly all chipped in and I had to schlucken frequently to fight back the lump in my throat which kept returning.
My father’s Piano was sitting in our front room with a card on it. I opened the card and the lump in my throat returned with a vengenace, "My dearest Renesmee, I hope that Du find as much joy watching your children learn on this Piano as I did watching you. I am so proud of you. Liebe Daddy." I had noticed that it was missing from the big house earlier but when I had asked him he had simply told me that he had gotten rid of it and ordered a new one. He knew how much I have and will always treasure, it as it was the very one that he taught me on and the one he composed my mother's and my lullabies on.
My mother had constructed a book shelf that took up the entire Wand of our family room and she and my grandfather had filled it with their favorites.
Grandma Esme designed the whole place paying special care to the kitchen. The küche was beautiful -fully modern with the latest accessories and stainless steel appliances as well as marble counters. She even bought me a new cookbook and wrote a little note in it so that I could learn to cook for the babies, grandpa Charlie, Grandma Sue, Billy and any of the Wölfe when they came to visit.
Uncle Emmett provided a movie room with a cinema size projector screen, leather movie seats with cup holders, and an old fashioned popcorn machine. The walls were lined with old fashioned horror movie posters. Of course “Dracula” with Bela Lugosi was the poster front and center Weiter to a “Wolfman” one. He just couldn’t help himself, Jake and I snickered over that while aunt Alice rolled her eyes at it. I have a feeling that Uncle Emmett will end up being our most frequent visitor.
Aunt Rose decorated the Babys rooms. She designed one for the girls and one for the boys. The girl’s nursery was blue, yellow and rosa with swirls of clouds painted on the walls and an old fashioned Ivory krippe in the center of the room, a matching chandelier hung over it. The room was fit for baby princesses- just what my girls were going to wind up being, it was absolutely stunning. The boys nursery featured a mural that aunt Rose had Amore paint on the walls of Wölfe and deer it was a whole forest scene but it looked very modern it was beautiful and I once Mehr became choked up at the realization that a piece of my best friend was in my house, as well as reference to the Quileute legends that were part of my children's heritage.
The Weiter stop was our room. There was a balcony off of it that overlooked the entire forest. Aunt Alice smiled as that was the first thing I ran to.
“Uncle Jasper set this up for Du and Jake to uh… help with controlling Jake’s anger issues.” Jake rolled his eyes but I clapped my hands in excitement and dragged him out there with me. The balcony was made of stone it almost reminded me of first beach. I pointed this out to my aunt and she nodded.
“We had Emily gather us some stones from the strand to use. Du have a piece of La Push in your house.” She smiled widely There was a small pond on the left and a tiny tabelle and two chairs to the right as well as cushions on the stone ground for meditating. There was a tiny iPod speaker that looked like a rock on both sides of the balcony. Aunt Alice gestured towards them, “For relaxing music,” she offered. She grabbed my hand and led me to my ginormous closet and we both squealed with excitement and Jake just shook his head and groaned.
I turned towards my aunt with a sigh. “How about we play dress up tomorrow afternoon. We will do make-over’s." She smiled at me and hugged me.
“You are so much Mehr fun than your mother- just don't tell her I sagte that because I will vehemently deny everything. I will bring Amore with me too we will have a girl's day.”
“Sounds good,” I smiled at her as she headed for the door.
“I will see myself out, come get the Babys soon, I dont know how much Mehr Esme can handle.” She winked at us and disappeared.
“That was nice of you,” Jake whispered into my neck. I shrugged, I truly didn’t mind letting my aunt dress me up as long as it wasn’t an everyday occurrence.
“Well I figure in a couple Mehr months she will not have any interest in me anymore she will be too busy keeping the kids looking good.” Jake laughed and eyed the bett and then looked at me.
“Sooo, now that we are alone what do Du want to do?” I bolted for the door.
“I get to pick the movie!”
“No chick flicks!” He grumbled as he ran after me we were both way Mehr interested in the new movie room at the moment.
An hours oder so later we headed to my grandparents to pick up the kids. Uncle Emmett looked up from his video game (apparently he and my father had gone shopping).
“So what were Du two crazy kids up to?” He asked.
“Watching a movie,” Jake replied tightly.
Uncle Emmett grinned, “Nice! I totally would have hung out in the movie room myself that is the best room in the house. Just warn me what chair Du used when I come over so I don’t sit in it.”
“Ew, Uncle Emmett Du are so gross all we did was watch a movie not that it’s any of your business.” My father shot him a look and he went back to his game. My mother and aunt Rose had packed diaper bags to the brim with diapers, bottles of blood, wipes, clothes, toys and everything Du could possibly think of. I laughed at them.
“Why did Du pack all of this Du know that the nurseries are fully stocked.”
“You never know Du might need something on the way,” aunt Rose suggested nervously. I could see in her eyes that this would be hard for her. She was already so attached to the babies. I squeezed her hand.
“I was wondering if Du and mom would want to help us get them bathed there are too many for me and Jake.” My mother and my aunt’s faces both lit up as they followed us out the door after we had hugged and thanked everyone. I saved my father for last hugging him extra tight as I whispered my thanks for the piano. He grinned at me.
“Anything for my baby girl. Besides, Du know I will be over quite frequently to play it and teach my grandkids.”
“Great,” Jake grumbled and my father smirked at him.
Someone had bought us six car seats and we filed into the garage to find three car seats in the back of my Audi and Jake helped my mother fasten the other three in the back of my father’s Volvo. She and aunt rose would drive three of the Babys Home for us.
“We are going to have to buy a new car Jake,” I sagte absentmindedly. He nodded and took the keys to the Audi after opening the passenger door for me. We waved to everyone and took off headed for Home with my mother and aunt behind us.
