Why was Frodo not wearing the Mithril at the time he was stung Von Shelob, the giant spider?

It was chain link armor so there is naturaly small holes in it. It was made to stop slashing attacks and some large stabbing attacks, not something as needle like as a spider's stinger. It would have also been useless if the troll was weilding a club.

He was wearing it,thats THE point....and still she MANAGE to stab him with her sting,now thats something strange!!!! ;) :D

Eventhough he was wearing the Minthril, shelob's stig may be much powerful than that, even to penetrate the powerful Minthil....

She could bite him in the neck oder other open part.

Frodo was wearing the mithril but Shelob's sting was so strong it pieced straight through it :( Poor Frodo XD

the Mithril(sorry if i spelled it wrong) had teny tiny holes in it and Shelob had a small stinger that could have easily gone right through it

He was wearing it, ut Du couldn't see it under his shirt. And Shelob's stinger hit him in the neck, which the mithril didn't cover.
