So here we are in February of 2010. Liverpool FC has not had the greatest season so far. In fact one might say it has been very poor indeed. They were eliminated from the FA Cup, Champions League, Carling Cup and are now not serious contenders for the Premier League Titel race. However they seem to be on the up and up! Kürzlich results bode well. Over the past few months, Liverpool were serious danger of not coming in the oben, nach oben 4 of the premier league and therefore not qualifying for Weiter seasons Champions League. Now however with their main rivals for that 4th spot of Tottenham, Aston villa and Manchester City have all had a mixed bunch of Kürzlich results. At this very moment in time Liverpool are in 4th with Tottenham 2 points behind with a game in hand.
The beginning of the season went so well with a good run of results. This run peaked against Hull when they won 6-1 (Torres hat trick and an amazing long range effort from Gerrard). But then it all went wrong with a 2-0 loss to Fiorentina. Throughout the season, Liverpool has been plagued Von bad luck both on and off the field. Torres and Gerrard have been battling to find consistency, both with niggling injuries. That could be the reason for a bad season as lot of Liverpool’s attack are based around those 2. The fall back strikers in the way of Babel and N’gog have been far from on song. Babel also having injury worries and N’gog has displayed serious talent during the season, lack of experience is Wird angezeigt through. The 2 men who have really put the hands up are Benayoun and Kuyt Benayoun had a very nice goal scoring run during Liverpool’s really bad spell and Kuyt current form is oben, nach oben notch having scored 5 goals over the last 4 matches and reached the 50 goal mark against Everton yesterday.
Thanks to the efforts of Kuyt, Liverpool has managed to pull themselves together I think with key wins over Aston villa and Tottenham. Although that was marred slightly with stupid losses against teams like Lesen (FA Cup Elimination) and draws to bottom teams like Portsmouth!
Going back to the whole bad luck dynamic, something that really needs to be worked on is 90 Minute performances from the defence. On about 14 occasions this season Liverpool have Lost oder draw matches in the last 5 minutes. Against Stoke just the other Tag and against Lesen and twice against Fiorentina being good examples of this. The defence has not been poor other than that. Many games have ended with clean sheets for the outstanding Riera.
Major transfers for Liverpool this season have not had a big effect. Aquilani being injured for so long and Rodríguez having only just arrived (I will reserve judgement on him). So judging on Manchester United’s and Wayne Rooney’s current form Liverpool will not win the Premier League this season. But looking at our Kürzlich results, we are Mehr than capable on coming in the oben, nach oben 4 and winning the Europa League!
