Music news! Ed Sheeran’s Stevie Wonder cover & Little Mix’s new tunes!

Ed Sheehan created quite a buzz on Twitter last night, as he took on an epic Stevie Wonder song during an appearance on Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny.

The A Team hitmaker recorded an appearance on the annual New Year’s Eve special and his version of ‘Master Blaster’ had fans of the star talking for hours afterwards.

Ed belted out the legendary tune, accompanied by Jools on piano and a talented brass band ad today he shared a clip of the performance with the caption: “Happy new year everyone. heres me playing a stevie wonder song on last nights jools holland (sic).”

Tweets about the performance included: “Brilliant #hootenanny this year with Jools. Just catching up. Paulo Nutini & Ed Sherran especially good along with Paloma, Joss & Ellie”

“See if it wasn’t for Ed performing on Jools Holland tonight, I’d probably be in bed”

Meanwhile, in other music news, Little Mix have revealed that they are close to releasing some new tunes for their fans. It’s bee quite a while since we were treated to new material from the X Factor stars but Leigh-Anne Pinnock promised that things are to change and posted on Instagram saying:

“Cannot wait to get back on stage! New music coming soon!! 2015 cannot come any sooner!!!!”

The girls are currently putting the finishing touches on their third album, which was due out in 2014 but was delayed just before the summer.

Fans were placated a few weeks ago though when the four beauties released a new version of ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)’ in the lead up to the festive period.
