no. i mean, sure, there are still some slurs, but that's really it...there are two open gay guys and they are the sweetest things EVER! and everyone supports them.

There are some homophobic slurs. In my school library there are books about gay rights and gay marriage.Over at the high school(I'm in middle school) there were two homecoming kings this year. There's no discrimination but there is slurs.

My college is amazing! It's very supportive of diversity. We celebrate Gay Pride month, there is a LGBT society that students can join, and so far I don't think I've even heard so much as a homophobic slur. That's not to say it will never happen (or has never happened - I just haven't been a witness to it myself) but as an example, one of my classmates is gay and in one of our first weeks he was telling a story that involved him mentioning his boyfriend, and there was no fuss at all. Yesterday, as part of Black History month, we did an exercise in class that involved us listing all of the different cultures that make up our lifestyles, and he decided to mention "gay" as one of his cultures, suggesting it does affect his life but it doesn't mean anyone has to act like it's a big deal. He just seems perfectly comfortable with who he is, and we are all perfectly comfortable around him too.

There's a reason why no one acts like it's a problem - it's because it ISN'T a problem!

My college is generally a very diverse place though. Like I mentioned, not only do we celebrate Gay Pride month and have a LGBT society, but we are also currently celebrating Black History month, and the college has students who come from a wide range of religions too. They really support people for just being themselves and not having to hide anything.

There are some slurs, some people say "that's so gay!" but I try to ignore it or tell them to not say that. I don't know anyone there who's a homophobe, thank god, and there are several gays, bi's and lesbians there and they're all respected. Several of them are extremely popular too!

I think there's a bit of hostility towards LGBT's (but there aren't many who are out to my knowledge). I've heard a few teachers make slurs as well as a lot of students, but I can't say that my school is "anti" -there's only one notable teacher who shouts at same-sex kids (boys in particular) who are hugging. One boy who is bisexual is pretty popular, and he's in cheerleading- though he gets slurs thrown from time to time.

My community is small and a majority of people are religious (not stereotyping, just speaking from what I see), but I think a lot of people are tight-lipped about it.

I wouldn't say anti-LGBT but the discrimination here exists quite obviously.

I go to a Catholic High School, so yes, there is a lot of prejudice. More so from the teachers then the students. But I leave forever in two weeks!
