I think rumors that your with child blow over easily, or personally from what I've seen they seem to blow over easily or eventually people realize that its not true and then shut up.

I think people take sexual preference a little more seriously, and are more judgemental about it than pregnancy.

I actually wouldn't care about either of these, because I'm more of the type of girl who speaks up right away when i hear something.

Agree with Kelly. And I think this one would become more obvious that it was a rumor as time goes by and you're not getting any bigger.

Eventually you can prove that you're not pregnant. It harder to me to convince someone that you have interest in the same sex because no matter how much you go out with guys people still wanna say that.

Plus being pregnant isn't as shameful nowadays as it use to be.

I get what you guys are saying, let me tell you that as someone who had the pregnancy rumor spread about me when i was barely 12 years old... it was devastating.

It wasn't just that people spread a rumor that i was pregnant, it was everything that came as a result. For close to 4 months i had to constantly insist that i wasn't pregnant, i had never even had sex... I had my guidance counselor pull me out of class one day and confront me and tell me that every single teacher, administrator etc. knew about me. They didn't all necessarily know my name or specifically that i was "the pregnant 7th grader", but they knew OF me...

And after about months of me telling everyone that i wasn't pregnant, when i {obviously} didn't get any bigger, people started spreading around that i got an abortion or that i miscarried...

So yeah, maybe NOW it wouldn't be that big of a deal, I'm a grown women capable of shutting idiots up... but back then it was the worst feeling.

You would have to deal with a lot with both rumors, but I think the rumor that your pregnant would blow over faster than you being interested in the same sex.

I already have the other rumor spreading since I was 10 and never left my reputation and I doubt it ever will so even I know how hard it was for Holly to get all of this mess I have to say that nothing hurts more than this (well besides betrayal but in my days, betrayal to me specifically comes with this rumor)
